I’ve ordered the 3 leches and mil hojas cakes. Both are delicious. Not too sweet and with lots of berries. I’ve also had their tamales and most of their bread. This is a very legit bakery with many options and fresh bread throughout the day. The owner (young guy) started making mil hojas cake in his living room and now he runs this place. Nice to see it always packed.

Selection of mexican sweet bread limited. Bread is ok but i expect a mexican bakery to have fresh made bread at opening. Got there when it opened and the lack of the smell of fresh baked bread worried me. Sweet bread is best eaten when fresh if not the texture can get dry after being displayed in large displays. I also do not see the need to make the bread portions double and triple the size of a normal serving. Conchas that are the size of a 10” cake pan is not necessary as are every piece of bread on display. When i asked if they had regular size bread pieces i was told that they already ran out of it even though i was there when the door got unlocked.
Also noticed several plastic storage containers filled with bread on a counter which proved my suspicions and that they resale day old bread and it is priced the same.
In any bakery that is unacceptable for this kind of bread

Amazing bakery, the Mil Hojas special cake is to die for! It’s layers of sponge cake, flakes, custard, topped with light frosting and peach, strawberries, and kiwi! And then the other special fruit tart, is amazing crust with custard, topped with blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, peach, and kiwi! $46/ cake that feeds 10-12 people. Met the young owner he let me try a sample of the sponge cake with the custard before I ordered. Will be coming back. Also he let me know they’re open all holidays!!

Highly recommend this bakery. Clean and coworkers are very friendly and welcoming. I picked up a slice of their cake and a few of their pastries.

My family loved it and I loved the sponge cake. Very creamy and dense with plentiful fruit. Extra points: I loved the wafer bottom that added a delightful crunch to the cake. I haven’t had a cake like this since I was a kid and I missed it so much! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area. Prices are fair and they accept card.

The best bakery around. They have my favorite pan dulce, rebanada. Everything they have is good. They also make food, tortas and tamales.

Today I went into the mijos hijos bakery to be turned down and to walk away because I had a service dog which is against the law to do first thing is to be charged with a misdemeanor. I reiterated that that he is a service dog and I told him it was against the law to turn me away but to no avail she didn’t give a crap for the mail a host bakery I will give it a -10 to her service and how rude they were.

Really nice staff.

I called before coming in and they let me know they had the cake we wanted. When we came in they were making fresh cakes so we got to surprise my boyfriend’s mom with a delicious and fresh cake. The pricing is also good!

Very nice and accommodating staff. They also have tres leches cakes. This is going to be our go-to spot for cakes.

They also speak Spanish:)

Seems like the bake fresh. I tried today wafered tres leches cake. It was good. Cream is something unique than what I tasted so far. Service is good. They attend to you as soon as you walk inside the store.

Idk what Denise is on but this place is amazing. They didn’t have slices available this time that I came in but I got the fruit tart and it was the best freaking fruit tart I’ve ever had. Every piece of fruit was sweet, from the mango to the blueberries. The crust was perfect, not hard and rocky but firm and just kinda melts in your mouth with the cream. It’s not that unnaturally sweet, which is great because the fruit was perfect. Juan is such a great person, and his speciality cakes (which the store was named after) are worth it. They use fresh produce and make the cakes fresh, so of course they’re worth the money. Support your local bakeries, not the ones in groceries stores that are generic and mass produced! You won’t regret it.
