Soft serve is pretty meh, I’d rather have something tarty than vanilla or chocolate to refresh my taste buds.
All in all, absolutely would come back. Not cheap but definitely very high quality!
The restaurant is elegant and comfortable, with attentive, professional service throughout the meal. We opted for the Diamond tier set for two, and it was absolutely worth every penny. The A5 Wagyu was exceptional — richly marbled, buttery, and undeniably some of the finest beef I’ve ever tasted. Paired with pristine fresh sashimi and a generous seafood platter featuring plump prawns, scallops, and abalone, every element of the set felt thoughtfully curated and of the highest quality.
The broths were perfectly balanced, the vegetables crisp and fresh, and the selection of dipping sauces elevated the entire experience. From start to finish, the attention to ingredient quality and execution was impeccable.
Mikiya delivers a truly luxurious shabu-shabu experience and is well worth indulging in for a special occasion or whenever you want to treat yourself to something extraordinary. Mikiya Irvine has quickly become my top recommendation in the area — I’ll definitely be returning soon.
Highly recommended. Welcome to Irvine!
The quality of the meat and vegetables was excellent. The sukiyaki and house broth are must-try. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Everyone took the time to explain the menu/concept. They keep everything clean and clear empty plates quickly.
They have a milk tea bar and soft serve, as well as the veggie and sauce bar. They also have curry and a fancy rice dispenser. The bathrooms were clean and the open kitchen looked very clean too, even though it was busy.
There was literally sooo much on the menu to try, the highlight ofc being the AH-MAZING cuts of Japanese A5 wagyu.
And, if you love seafood, you can order as many hand rolls, sashimi, and crab legs as you want!
And I was obsessed with their rice-dispensing machine with unlimited curry and wagyu meat sauce that you could help yourself to.
I only go for the most expensive stuff when it’s unlimited, as one should 😉 but I was pleasantly surprised because the sides are also sooo worth getting, like the bone marrow toast… unreal.
We got the Diamond tier for $98 per person but they have cheaper options.
I’m being so fr with you guys, like it’s not cheap but it is SO good especially for a special occasion 🙂
Thanks for reading! ^-^
It can get busy so I would get a reservation.
He gave amazing recommendations for food and combos that I wouldn’t have thought of. Food was amazing and Alvin’s exceptional service made everything taste even better. Highly recommend coming again, give Alvin a raise
