WOW! We ordered family style, so we could try as much of the menu as possible. All the meats were so well seasoned, perfectly cooked and tender. The papaya salad was a refreshing balance to everything too. Our personal favorites were the short rib nam tok and the moo yang grilled pork.

In addition, the drinks were also so good! The chatramue Thai tea was a classic Thai tea, perfect level of sweetness. The Thai tea Arnold Palmer was awesome, such a cool unique drink that will be ordered again.

Lastly, the owner was so kind and helpful. Very personable and kind.

P.S. the digital food court can look a little intimidating, but I just went straight to the window and told them I ordered from Mikey’s Thai Tapas and my order came out very quickly!

My husband and I just came back from Thailand and we were scared of eating Thai food in LA for a while bc of fear the taste won’t be the same…. But DAMN, Mikey’s Thai Tapas proved that hidden gems do exist and he brought that true Thai taste and spice to the South Bay. Everything I ordered tasted so good. อร่อยมากๆค่ะ จะกลับมาแน่นอน

Each dish was bursting in flavor! I ordered the Moo Ping, Coconut Lemongrass wings and corn salad. I highly recommend the corn salad. It was fresh, lemony and sweet spicy. This will be my go to place for Thai food in the South Bay.

We ordered Mikey’s Moo Ping, Coconut and Lemongrass Grilled Chicken Wings, Fresh Corn Som Tam, Mikey’s Tom Yum Soup, Moo Tod and Thai tea. Everything was uniquely delicious and the spice was so addictive! We chose mild and medium spicy level on some of the dishes, and we were not disappointed. So glad to have found a place that serves authentic Thai street foods and tapas!
MUST MUST try their Mikeys Moo Ping and Coconut and Lemongrass Grilled Chicken Wings!!

Update:
They have Pad Thai on their menu now, and it is hands down the best pad thai you’ll ever taste! The noodle is so soft and savory. The little added tofu and dried shrimp is honestly my favorite part of the dish. It makes the world of difference. The mild can be spicy if you can’t handle spice, but they also offer not spicy option as well. We will be back to try the most spicy version!

So fast and delicious for takeout Thai food! I actually ordered through delivery and it came so fast. The food was still piping hot and the wings were still crunchy!

Lemon Grass Fried Party Wings: My two year old enjoyed these the most, with its crunchy exterior and moist interior. The flavor of the lemongrass wasn’t overpowering but added a nice touch. I would definitely order a bunch of these again – would be great for a party. I hope they have catering options soon.

Som Tam (Papaya salad): this one reminds me of when I went to Thailand and had this daily. I love the option they have of adding Pla La and I loved the tiny shrimp bits. I ordered it mild and it had a nice little kick.

Sticky Rice Berry: this was nice and sticky, it paired perfectly with the larb and tom yum soup.

Mikeys Tom Yum Soup: I got this one with chicken, and the flavors really shone through with all the spices they used in it.

Larb: nice and light with perfect seasoning. I could probably get this one alone with the sticky rice and eat it as a lunch. It’s hard not to order everything else though because it’s all so tasty!!

ChaTraMue Thai Tea: holy cow this is going to be my new spot for just Thai Iced Tea. It was strong and refreshing. It wasn’t too sweet like some boba shops, but just right!

I met one of the owners who delivered the food and he was super nice too! Love being able to support this new small business and enjoy spectacular Thai food! Their prices are super reasonable too. I can see myself picking up from here once a week! Can’t wait to try their other dishes!

Whoo boy. I don’t want to be the person who crushes all these 5 star reviews, but honestly, they were the major reason I ordered from here, and I should have been warned. I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food, and I’ve never had to toss any before because it was inedible, but this was the time. We ordered 5 dishes and three of them were basically bad. The short rib crying tiger and the pork satay were fine. The satay I would even call “good,” but the pad Thai was flavorless ( other than spice) and had the addition of very bland tofu to make it even less flavorful. Most pad Thai I’ve eaten has a reddish tinge from the tamarind, but this one was snow white. Maybe someone forgot to add the sauce to the noodles? The green papaya salad would have been edible if it weren’t for the dried shrimp which were just …not chewable, and plentiful, so hard to avoid. And no peanuts? Why ask if you’re not going to include them anyway? I had them add three big shrimp which were mealy and tasted…not fresh. The sticky riceberry was more like rock berry as we had to use steak knives to carve off a piece, but it was too solid to chew. That one went right in the trash. I mean, every place has an off night, but this was just a tiny tragedy.

Excellent food!! Unfortunately, I was too excited to eat and did not take photos of anything. I ordered the pork skewers, papaya salad, larb, and sticky rice. Everything had SO MUCH FLAVOR! I already can’t wait to go back and try the other stuff on the menu. Highly recommend!
