A wonderful place to visit if you live in – or pass through Cle Elum. Everyone is friendly, they have great food and you can stay warm near one of the many fires out front. Although this little gem of an old school tavern doesn’t serve liquor, it does serve beer, wine, ciders and seltzers. Just don’t mistake that for a fault. This place features many of the local craft beers many other places don’t get to sample. It has been a long time tradition and pride for the owners to have a special selection that really gives you a good sense of the taste and flavor in the area. The taps are changed regularly and you might not get the same thing as you did the day before because they sell trough quick so if you like trying new things and new places, this is the place for you. I felt right at home. It has been open since 1933 and is one of the oldest bars in the area. They do have a TV that plays through the front window and often music out front but the fire runs all day and really makes the atmosphere. I have tried many of the dishes but my favorites are the Tavern dog, the Gyro and the Italian. Everything is delicious and has never taken very long to come out – always nice, hot and fresh. You will most likely run into Colin, Bre, Hannah, Sarah or Niya and they are the sweetest staff you could hope to encounter. Not only do they constantly make trips out to check that everyone is doing well and has everything they need, but consistently refilling the fires and ensuring the atmosphere is a good one. For a small town, this bar has a big personality. I would recommend this place to a friend and I will be returning. 5/5 stars for sure.

Lovely little town bar with good beers on tap! Right next to a local fish market with a great selection of fresh seafood! Bartenders were very nice here and our food was good, we got the Seattle dog (don’t knock it till ya try it!) I fell in love with this cute little town, would definitely come back here again and again!

Driving through and drove past the tavern, did a U-turn and stopped in for some lunch. Great beer and the gyro is amazing. Highly recommend stopping for a sandwich and a cold drink.

Small and busy. Great atmosphere. Seems chill and people are enjoying themselves. Food was good. Seemed to be one gal only doing all the cooking up front and she was killing it. A lot of people there but food came out fast and was good. Would recommend it for sure!

Super friendly staff. GF had Mike’s Gyro sandwich with potatoes salad. She enjoyed her sandwich and salad. I took a bite and also enjoyed both. Being a Cajun, they have a sandwich called Louisiana Red Hot?? Did not live up to the name, but sandwich was ok. The macaroni salad was alright, I enjoyed GF salad more.
