Stayed at the AmericInn attached to Mike’s while in the Baraboo area. Decided to eat dinner here. We had a medium size pizza and it was really big for medium size. It was cooked to perfection, very good taste, and the price was great also. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, refilling drinks as needed and checking how everything was. We had a conversation with the owner. He was very nice to talk with. The restaurant was large and very clean with nice decor. Overall, I highly recommend the place.

Under normal circumstances, I will wait until I’ve eaten at an establishment 3 or more times before I leave a review, but in this instance I’m making an exception.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Mike’s Italian…the first time my wife and I came here we’d both ordered the Chicken Marsala, and it was simply delicious. Our waitress, Anna, was extremely attentive and definitely helped with recommendations…I was very much torn between 3 options and was grateful for the help.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Wendy, as well as Mike…and it was certainly a pleasure… extremely nice people who certainly made my wife and I want to come back.
On our second trip I’d ordered the House Stromboli and it, too, was fantastic…a very ample portion to boot.
Our waiter, Cody, was also extremely personable and very attentive.
I am very, very much looking forward to subsequent visits here…and am *very* much looking forward to trying their white pizza.
As a last aside, if Cody sees this….I WAS NOT FULL!

A very very busy Friday night. We were an unexpected group of 10 ladies. We wanted to thank Mikes staff and Mike himself for the service!
His hostess came to us made sure our drinks were full, and checked on our food making sure everything was good. We did wait a bit because it was a busy Friday night. Mike came out of the kitchen to greet us and many customers around us. I thought that was wonderful. So, we came back as a bigger group on Saturday the 7th and ate at Mikes again ❤️❤️❤️

One of better Italian restaurants I have eaten at. Fast Friendly service, reasonable prices, large portion size, really good pasta with delicious sauces. Recommended!

My first time at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in until the time we left the experience was top notch. The hostess and our waiter were exceptional and so attentive! The food was delicious, the dinner rolls were amazing, the owner and chef visited our table 3 times! He brought us cannolis on the house! We will definitely be back!

Our group of 5 are from out of town, and we were looking for a restaurant to satisfy everyone’s palate. We wanted a quality homemade meal – no fast food. We found Mike’s and are really glad we did. Excellent food and service. We had pizza, cheese ravioli, the house burger, and a Philly cheesesteak. Would definitely return.

We got a steak and it was mostly fat it looked like a horrible cut of meat. We told the waiter and she was nice about it but afterwards the manager went out to talk to us, she said it was just the marble. She was trying to gaslight us into thinking it was normal and that’s how all steaks are, she did give us a discount at the end of it for the steak. The pastas with a cream base like alfredo were so bad, it had no flavor and I even got the carbonara and it tasted the same as the alfredo. Salt and pepper couldn’t save the pastas. The marinara sauce was sweet so if u don’t like it sweet I wouldn’t recommend ordering.
Edit: the guy that ate the steak got sick he was throwing up.

Hidden Gem in Baraboo!
We stopped at Mike’s Italian Restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon around 12:30 and were blown away. Despite being incredibly busy, the service was excellent—our waitress was attentive, kind, and made us feel right at home.
The menu is insane—so many delicious options, it was hard to choose! I ended up going with the baked ziti, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The wedding soup was fabulous—comforting and rich. We also shared the garlic cheese bread (super tasty), but the real standout? Their homemade rolls. Absolutely out of this world.
The decor is warm, classic, and just beautiful—exactly what you’d hope for in a cozy Italian spot. I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner. The pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, so I’ll definitely be making another trip soon just to try one.

Both times that we have gone here the food has been excellent and the service is always great!
First time there I got the Shrimp Alfredo, which was delicious! Which I can honestly say is the best Shrimp Alfredo I’ve ever had. My wife got the Tortellini and she absolutely loved it! We all went this time for pizza and she said she almost ordered it again anyway!
Like I said, this time we went with my in-laws and got their pizza. We ordered Meat-lovers and Hawaiian. Both were perfectly cooked and balanced. Not too heavy of dough or sauce and both had a perfect cook on the crusts. Of course there was LOTS OF MEAT on the meat-lovers and it had a great cheese-pull.
My father-in-law and I thought the meat-lover was the best. While my wife and mother-in-law really liked the Hawaiian the best. (Go figure! haha)
I did like the Hawaiian as well. But you just can’t not love all that MEAT! Which they put plenty on there.
Ambiance had a good feel. And all of the staff were very friendly and professional.
Both times there we’ve been greeted by the owner, Mike! I just noticed this time that he has a picture on his wall showing the day be became a citizen! Congratulations! Super happy for you, sir! We want more people like you here!
Anyways, stop thinking about it. Just go already! It’s great! Which makes sense since its ran by some pretty great people!
