Went here after a tournament with my daughter and a few of her teammates. Great food and the service was excellent. Great variety of food to choose from. It’s a little pricey for some dishes but everything is affordable. I got the fish and chips. They only have beer and wine and the dessert are great.

Mike’s Grillhouse – A Hidden Gem in the Valley!
I had an amazing dining experience at Mike’s Grillhouse. The food is consistently excellent , I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, the Chili Cheese Burger, and the Spicy Chicken Pasta, and every dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked. For dessert, we enjoyed the fried cheesecake and the warm brown cake , both were delicious! Their menu has something for everyone, from fresh salads and hearty sandwiches to daily seafood catches.
The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for anything from a casual dinner to a birthday or anniversary outing. The dress code is relaxed, and the full bar is a great bonus.
What truly stands out is the fantastic service. The staff are attentive without being intrusive , they kept our table clean, cleared plates quickly, and made sure our drinks were always full. Honestly, probably some of the best servers in the valley! Even the manager personally checked in with guests to make sure everyone was happy. My parents are regulars and get treated fantastically, and return always with intentions of great delicious food!
Highly recommend Mike’s Grillhouse if you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Service was great. Staff was very attentive. Nice ambiance but food was average at best. We ordered the Chicken Marsala and it came less than 5 minutes after we ordered. It was clearly a pre-cooked, slightly browned chicken breast with an overly sweet sauce. On par with a frozen Lean Cuisine meal. It’s a busy place and most likely they have to pre-cook a lot but tough to spend $30 for an entree that isn’t cooked to order.

From the time we entered, sat down and checked out , the customer service was professional and immaculate! Everyone was happy to serve and make sure the table was cleaned. Water was always filled up. The owner greeted us and was very pleasant.

I got the ribeye. Cooked to perfection. Only thing I would say even though it’s a rib eye. I wish there was more meat than fat. The chimichurri sauce I wasn’t a big fan of. Other than that it was amazing !
We also got the spicy chicken penne. What can I say another delicious dish!
The best was the Churros with Vanilla icecream dessert. Oooooh please everyone should be ordering it to end the dish ha. Soft, crunchy and warm with a good balance of the icecream.

Excellent food and service!! Best crispy chicken salad I’ve ever had. So flavorful! My husband had the prime rib and he said it was delicious! The server brought us a sample of 2 different hard ciders to try while we waited. Both were delicious. Ambience was really nice too. The fireplace makes it feel very cozy. Highly recommend this place!!!

We, all 8 of us, ventured inside this establishment for a birthday dinner. We got to meet the owner, Mr. Kyle Raymond, who shows concern for each and every customer that crosses their threshold. Food was outstanding! Home Style comfort food at it’s best. The roast beef was superb, the fried chicken was up there too. Burgers, as well as Philly cheese steak sandwiches. Our two grandkids enjoyed the kids chicken strips and cheese burger, which they actually ate. The atmosphere is down home and inviting. A beautiful fireplace along with old pictures of Modesto hung on the walls. Very clean inside along with professional staff makes this restaurant on the top of my list! Take our advice and give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. ENJOY.

Food does not meet the same standard. $16 for small slightly filled potato skins ( 4 halves = 2 potatoes). Not flavorful and not a value.
We had 3 different burgers. All just ok. No great sear not a char grilled taste in lieu of sear. They said 1/3 pound – maybe? They were just average at best. The coated french fries were obviously frozen (similar to Rally’s).
Ice tea was very weak and watered down.
So besides the average pricey food (better flavor and cooking at Churchkey or Commonwealth) – the service was great.
I dont think we will be back.

I love this place and highly recommend to everyone in or around Modesto. Easy access from the 99 highway. We walked right in at 5pm for a table of 5. Service was EXCELLENT!!! Everyone helpful, working together to ensure your dining experience is exceptional. The food was AMAZING from appetizers to our individual meals, portions are large and presentation is beautiful. The owner Kyle, checked on us and he is awesome and his personalization took this evening over the top. It was my birthday and he was very kind!!!!! My family and I will be back the bugers, sandwiches, wraps and the clam chowder DELICIOUS!!!! Go early, because the wait time does increase and it’s worth every minute!!!!!

Staff was excellent—attentive and genuinely friendly. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the service. The clam chowder was perfectly fine, but my beef au jus was dry and surprisingly bland. The au jus should have helped, but it was so oversalted that it overwhelmed the dish. Maybe just an off day, but it missed the mark. Sad, especially since I’m not back in Modesto very often.
