This place is phenomenal! First time here for an OSU Buckeyes football game and the place is full of Buckeye fans. Great atmosphere! I imagine the atmosphere for Steelers or Pirates games is crazy. The food is absolutely incredible! And the service is just as good! Awesome beer selection too. Highly, highly recommend!

Loved this place! Great local beer selection! And the steak on a stone was excellent! I was skeptical, but the guy next to me got the Cowboy ribeye so I got the same. It was a bit tricky to finish cooking the steak on the stone, but got it figured out very quickly and I cooked each piece to my perfection! It was fun! Bring a lens wipe for your glasses, cause you will get some splatter while searing each piece. The steak tasted perfect. Tender and flavorful without being over seasoned. The sweet potatoes fries were delicious also. The bartender and manager were very nice and friendly and the owner was an awesome guy and got to talk to him about his restaurant and his passion shows through.

On a recent August trip to Pittsburgh to see Jays vs Pirates baseball series, we found our spot and we are so happy we did. Mike’s Bar is literally across from the stadium. The atmosphere, the food (pickle focaccia pizza, wings, pretzels) & drinks (IC Beer)and of course the amazing staff – Nick, Stana & Summer
Thank you
Alan & Maria
P.S. We will be back…

We wondered in to Mike’s Beer Bar to watch the Steelers game. We got a table with plenty of TVs around us and they turned the sound to the Steelers game. Taliyah did a great job suggesting beer and food. We had the Chilli, Duck&Apple Focaccia Pizza and the Verde Chicken Nachos. Wish the refs were as good as the food. We will go back again.

I was so impressed with the food! We got a pickle pizza and a couple burgers. The fries were INCREDIBLE. Taliah was very attentive (it was really busy but she still paid great attention to us, got kids water cups for my children without me having to ask) and she had excellent drink recommendations. We will be back!

Extremely nice bar and great atmosphere however, the service was extremely horrible. I know the girl had her hands full with a large table, but we sat without drinks or service for over 40 minutes at a clip not to mention I ordered a steak and cheese wrap with steak and cheese only and got some kind of strange cheese on it almost like blue cheese or ricottaof some sort? It wouldn’t have been so bad if she would have came back so I could have it fixed but not getting any service for over 40 mins at a clip my whole party was done eating and ready to leave before she even knew my order was screwed up. When I did get to tell her she replied with “I don’t know what cheese it is our menu changes weekly so whatever they put on it is what you get” not the answer I new customer is looking for. I will say everyone around us had the stone steaks and the seemed to be very happy with them I guess I just got a bad server and a bad wrap. Hopefully if I give them a second try things are better.

I stopped in after a Pirates game—not for the baseball, just looking for good food—and wow, this place delivered. I tried the wings, steak on the stone, nachos, and a burger, and every single item was top-tier. The wings were perfectly crispy, the nachos were loaded and flavorful, the burger was juicy and cooked just right, and the steak on the stone was a fun and delicious experience. The atmosphere was lively but laid-back, and the service was fast and friendly. Easily one of the best spots around PNC Park for food, drinks, and good vibes. Highly recommend!

Mike’s is a great place. I like trying new beers, and they have dozens of local craft beers on tap, hundreds of other locals and otherwise in bottles and cans, and pretty much every style under the sun. Lager, stout, sour, mead, it doesn’t matter. They have something for everyone who drinks beer, as well as their other drinks at the full-service bar.

The food is great, as well. I’ve had the steak-on-a-stone a few times, and recently, had their Yinzer Wrap. Never had a wrap filled with kielbasa, haluski, and pierogi. It was heavy, as expected, but it was phenomenal.

It’s very easy to get to. Right across the street from PNC Park, right down the street from one hotel, a short walk from other hotels, to include the one right across the Clemente Bridge, and a reasonable stroll from Acrisure Stadium and the North Side T station.

Only downside is it can get crowded at certain times, especially if there are any games going on. A good problem to have, and shows how good they are. I try to make it a point to visit and see what new is on tap whenever I visit the North Shore.

Would have given a 5 star if the service was a bit faster and if we were not asked to move from the bar Hightops due to a “reservation” . I politely declined to move and the bar manager comped our drinks, but I was upset mainly cause it took so darn long to bring out a burger and a sandwich. Had the food came out quicker and had we been able to eat our food unrushed, this is would have been 5 star. Good food and cool vibe.
