Mikes BBQ Philly is easily the best BBQ in Philadelphia. The brisket is tender and packed with flavor. They only Smoked USDA Prime Beef. The ribs were falling off the bone tender and you could tell they were fresh. The staff was very friendly.

We also used them for catering and it was a huge hit. Ordering was smooth and easy with great portions and everyone asked where the food came from.

If you are looking for legit BBQ in Philly this is the spot!!!!

I came here on a Friday around 4pm with a group of 6. It was only us and 1 other table of 3. I know a lot of people love this place, so I assumed it really was the absolute best. 

We came for the ribs, but unfortunately they were out. It’s really surprising to me that such a popular place would be open for only a few hours 4 days a week and be out of food on the 2nd day of 4 that they’re open for that week. Do they make everything fresh every morning they’re open? Maybe. 

Anyway, we ordered 6 dry rub wings, 1/4 lb of brisket, a brisket sandwich, cheese fries, Mac and cheese and Brussels. The food came out quickly and we even got a handful of homemade potato chips. 

I’m giving a 4 because the brisket was DAMN GOOD, but I’m a bit sad to admit that I was disappointed with a few of the items. The wings were very dry. The flavor was good and the crisp was there, but there was not even a slight bit of moistness to those wings. 

The Brussels were very well flavored, but swimming in oil so not very crispy and the potato chips were overdone and tasted burnt. I didn’t have the fries or Mac and cheese but I was told they were both yummy from my kids. 

I plan to try again and get some ribs next time, but I’m also hoping to see a few other improvements.

Used to be our favorite barbecue place in the city. Decided to go back after ownership changed and food is now terrible. I never write reviews but felt compelled to after wasting $100 on meats that had not an ounce of moisture, mac and cheese that had no flavor, collards that also had no flavor on top of still being bitter and rough like it was just thrown together, and corn bread that was so dry it had a completely black bottom. The only dish that had some redemption was the smoked lemon cauliflower. So disappointed to lose such a great food joint to a barely edible one.

Second time this year I was able to come down to this restaurant. First time I got the highly touted brisket cheesesteak which was beyond amazing. Had to try the ribs and Mac n cheese this time. Some of the best ribs I’ve had in recent memory and the mac n cheese was so good I’m addicted! I only wish I lived closer to mikes bbq. The Staff was super cool

We ordered a massive Eagles Super Bowl package from Mike’s BBQ, but due to a mix-up, our order wasn’t ready when we arrived. It was late in the day, and we were panicking with our party about to start. But instead of turning us away, the team at Mike’s BBQ went above and beyond. They loaded us up with everything they had left—heaping sides, all the wings they could spare (it had to be at least 20 lbs!), and didn’t charge us a dime. They essentially catered our entire party on the house, and the food was out-of-this-world delicious. Mistakes happen, but it’s how a business handles them that truly matters. The folks at Mike’s BBQ showed up with heart, generosity, and serious neighborhood pride. We’ll be customers for life. Thank you again! Go Birds! (And yes, I know it’s now May and I’m still thinking about those wings)

Food is decent but not amazing.
Placed a preorder at 9am for 5pm and still had to wait an hour for my order to be completed.
Staff is nice and I’m sure they are doing the best with what they have but they need a better system. They are a popular restaurant. I would have expected they could manage their orders.

Placed an order through Grub Hub. Two of the ribs was missing. Although, the order calls for 6 ribs. Also, the 6 whole wings I ordered turned out to be 5 and 1 half of wing. I know it wasn’t the driver. Because the half of wing was grilled completely to the end. Meaning it wasn’t freshly detached it was grilled as a half of wing. And who knows what happened to the missing ribs!? Sooooo.. Once again. I another restaurant I ordered from. Did great a few weeks ago. But today, the second time around, it is not consistent. I can’t even call missing food not consistent. I tried to call twice, of course, no one answered. Well, I guess they go on the list of places not to reorder from. I checked the Grub Hub reviews. I am not the only customer complaining of food left out of an order purchased. I really wanted to like them. Best believe a customer couldn’t pay partial money. Don’t give us partial of an order. Fair is fair.

The food was amazing the first time I went and that was cause TikTok sent me so the food was fresh but when I just went yesterday the food was mediocre the brisket was cut so thick and had so much fat on it I couldn’t even enjoy it but the brisket cheesesteak was still amazing and the sides are NOT my favorite, and the fact that I paid $9 for 1/4 of fat was insane (3 thick slices ‍♀️)

Delicious. Opened the door and was greeted warmly by the staff and smell of BBQ smoke. Best brisket I’ve had outside of Texas. Creamy mac and cheese. Perfect sweet moist cornbread. Will be back.
