Came to mikes to eat but I am handicapped and on crutches. Both the front lady and Mrs. Laura immediately came to my aid and sat me down and completely took care of everything for me! I felt right at home and the food was AMAZING. Enough for me to eat for left overs too. I ordered to go and everything was boxed perfectly as well, nothing was soggy. 10/10 did not disappoint.

Y’all. I went to Mike’s for the first time with a coworker after a recommendation from my grandma. We absolutely loved it. I came back the next day with my husband. The buffet is possibly one of the best I’ve ever had. The food is fresh and seasoned with love. We loved everything we tried. Fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and beans were reminiscent of a homemade meal from my mom. All of it, every bite, was amazing.
Our server was phenomenal, and an absolute sweetheart. Her banter made the meals all the more enjoyable.
I feel like I’m pretty picky with food, we live in Houston and have plenty of options, but I’d for sure make the drive just for the food here. If that doesn’t tell you how good it is then I don’t know what will.
If you’re in town for work and need a homemade meal instead of fast food, absolutely stop here.

I love this place! Vegetarian fare, not vegan, if you desire. Sounds funny for a BBQ Restaurant, eh? They serve the best black eyed peas i have ever tasted. After a pensive, small portion, i actually went back and filled a dessert bowl with a second serving. Yes, lots of great food from salads to meat. A favorite stop along the way!

Came here while visiting a friend. I cannot recommend the food. We didn’t get the buffet, so maybe that’s better, but our burgers were underdone, the buns were so wet they were basically mush, and the whole thing was disintegrating as I tried to eat it. It was disgusting. Our waitress was attentive and sweet, though.

This was my family’s first visit, and we tried the Sunday lunch buffet today. The chicken fried steak and pot roast were fantastic! The sides–especially the broccoli cheese casserole–were great too. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the macaroni and cheese. But, that’s probably just me. ♂️ The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. And the coconut pie I ordered for dessert was delicious. Everything was reasonably priced too. I can’t wait to try their barbecue the next time I pass through Dayton. Thanks for a great lunch today, Mike’s!

I’ve always had a good experience coming here. Mike the owner is a great cook with good recipes. I suggest if you want comfort food… This is the place. It’s kind of hidden.. But I’m sure you’ll be able to smell the good BBQ. Check them out…I promise you won’t be disappointed. They deserve ten stars.
