They really need to update the restaurant. It could be so nice. If I were the owner, I would shut it down for a week and remodel and detail Clean!!! Breakfast is the best part of the day, and their food is good after that. It goes down Hill. We had a club sandwich, and he had French fries, and I had onion rings. They were overcooked and hard. We belched club Sandwich the rest of the night, which made us sick at the stomach. Sorry for the review.

Went for breakfast and loved it! Food was great, server was amazing, everyone inside was super nice! Make sure to bring cash for a tip because when you pay there is no card tip option, if not there is an ATM.

Amazing food & the staff is so sweet!! The pancakes are sweet and perfect . My husband moaned after taking a bite of his bacon cheeseburger. Good cup of coffee. Side note amazing homemade tasting pickles!!

This little diner is so cute inside-I feel like I’m eating inside an Airstream. If you have more than 4 people in your party you’ll have to sit in the dining room which isn’t as cute but it’s comfy They have a great bFast special for $2.75. Their hot cakes are terrific You cannot tip on a credit card so have some cash.

I’m a local food reviewer in the area, I went to Mountain Shadows to review from recommendations from my Subscribers @donniemfng. I just went in to grab up a couple of items from there menu for review plus have lunch. First impression very homely and welcoming I like that.. So here’s my experience-the service from order to my hands was promptly delivered in a timely manner. First thing I tried was the Dessert Homemade Apple Pie which was good to me, I only wish that I had it served hot 3.9 stars for the pie 4 if it was served hot but that’s on me I didn’t ask. Then I had the 6oz Sirloin burger which was top notch and really fulfilling 4.6 for the burger without question. Over all very pleasant experience. Food’s good, but what I don’t like is that the only parts of the utensils that are wrapped in napkins are the handles. The end that you put in your mouth isn’t covered and touches the table. That spreads germs. The last time I needed to use utensils to eat my meal, I had to use plastic ones that I brought from home because I didn’t want to get sick from contaminated utensils. I’m sorry that I’m complaining, but I just wanted to let you know my thoughts about it. Can you please wrap the ends of the utensils that you put in your mouth instead of only the handles? Thank you.

I haven’t eaten there since I retired. I thought it would be something different and I’m so glad we stopped in for breakfast. Folks this is down home cooking. I had eggs, sausage and home fries with sausage gravy and by mistake they gave me pancakes also. Everything was so good. Folks if you get to Blue Ridge Summit on Rt16 East of Waynesboro Pa, please take the time to stop bye for something to eat. You will be glad you did. It’s a 60s style looking restaurant.
