Wife and I have had breakfast and dinner here recently. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. The first time we went, I had a Western Omelette with home fries and toast… the omelette was cooked perfectly, and not drowned in salt like I’ve had in other places. The home fries were ok. The toast was just right. My wife had two eggs over medium with home fries, bacon and toast. The portions were great. The price was under $20 for both including my coffee. Our second trip was at dinner time. I ordered liver and onions with mashed potatoes and green beans. The liver was very good and flavorful as were the mashed potatoes and green beans. Wife had beer battered fish with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Everything was very tasty. The restaurant is MUCH nicer and the food better than the former restaurant. This is a nice family, budget friendly place to eat which is hard to find these days.

When it was Hall’s restaurant I loved this place. Now it is Horrible!! I ordered a Turkey dinner. They brought out lunch meat!!! It wasn’t even all the way warmed up on a plate smothered with gravy!!! This is my last time coming to this place. Don’t bother coming if your looking for the experience that the previous owners gave you. The food s below subpar and not worth the $$

I have been dining here since I was a young girl and it was Halls and have always loved it. Even when it switched to Mike and Mels I still would enjoy it. But my recent experience was horrible. The customer service is the worst I’ve ever had. Not to mention a hair was found in my pregnant sisters food and we were treated like we were the ones in the wrong. I will never be dining here again.

This morning was a second visit for breakfast for me and my Lady, great service and great food. We are definitely regulars from now on. I have an intellectual disability with ptsd, so I rarely ever leave the security of my home surroundings, but the atmosphere there helps me big time, so thank you very much and my wallet fell out of my back pocket there this morning and when I walked in to check if it was there, they greeted me with a smile and my wallet. God is so awesome plus the lady with the rubber gloves was surprisingly gentle. Lol

We’ve eaten at Hall’s for 10 years but today at Mike & Mel’s has ruined a good thing for us. We went for lunch. There were plenty of tables but the sign said wait to be seated. We stood there for at least 5-10 minutes before anyone even came over to us. Then the table we were seated at had no napkins. The waitress took our order. I had soup and 1/2 sandwich. The food was good as usual but she didn’t bring my soup out until my husband was half finished with his meal. I didn’t order soup as a dessert. We never got our check until I went to the register. Then I waited 5 minutes until someone came to the register despite watching at least 6 or 7 servers wandering around doing nothing. I love your food, but the service all around was awful. No one to seat, lousy waitress, no one to man the register.

Asked for a medium steak cooked and it was not cooked rawl sent it back yulk took 2 bites it made me sick . Waitress said you ordered medium I stated yes but not rawl and she replied your right. The place isn’t fit to eat at its dirty and just unpleasant place not like when it was halls…
