Mike & Joe’s in Mahopac is so much more than just a great local spot—it’s a place where you truly feel taken care of, and the staff plays a huge part in that experience.
First off, the food is consistently excellent. The pizza is always fresh and flavorful, the entrees are well-prepared, and everything comes out hot and just right. Whether you’re sitting down for a meal or grabbing something to go, the quality never misses.
But what really sets this place apart is the team. James behind the bar is fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and knows exactly how to make you feel at home while mixing up a great drink. His energy and professionalism really elevate the whole experience.
Preng at the front is the first face you see when you walk in, and he’s always upbeat, courteous, and on top of everything. He keeps things running smoothly with a calm and confident presence that makes a great first impression every time.
And Martin, our go-to waiter, is outstanding. He’s attentive without being overbearing, always has a smile on his face, and genuinely cares that you’re having a good experience. He remembers your favorites and makes sure everything is just right.

Tonight was my first time going to the restaurant. I ordered a surprise bag from the Too Good to Go App, and I am SO glad I did because it was SO good. Its a beautiful atmosphere inside, and I see they have outdoor seating as well. The boy at the counter was really sweet, showed me how to do the app. I took a menu, because the food selections are many, and look delicious! Can’t wait to place a big order now that I’d had a taste!

It was 4:15 PM the day before thanksgiving, and my daughter was home from college so we decided to place an order since we had been running around all afternoon. I was told upon placing the order it would take about 30 to 45 minutes, max. It was 526 and I called the restaurant to see where our order was, and the girl who answered the phone had a total attitude and told me it wasn’t her problem that the order was late and was just playing downright nasty. It hadn’t even left at 5:30 PM. I called back again a short while later and the owner answered and he could care less I said is there anything you can compensate me with for a two hour order of cold dry pizza and he said I’m sorry ma’am unfortunately no, so needless to say, I will never order from them again horrible customer service, especially coming from the owner and the girl that answered the phone should have never spoken to me with such disrespect

I like supporting local businesses. I decided to try a burger from this restaurant since I haven’t had one from this place. I asked for WELL DONE. And well ….. the cook took their job seriously to the point where my burger taste burnt and looks like it’s been charred to a hockey puck. Maybe it’ll be best on the hockey rink then in my stomach. If you like hard, burnt, meat. This place is up your alley.

Had the pizza there last year and it was good… got some today for my family and it was not nearly as good… burnt Sicilian with lack of cheese and sauce. Garlic knots had no flavor. Even all the kids said it was just okay and most kids always say good to pizza. The food was better at the old location

I recently visited this restaurant, and while the pizza was good, everything else left much to be desired. The Philly cheesesteak looked sad and reminded me of something you’d get at McDonald’s. The lobster ravioli was bland, lacking any real flavor, and the pesto pasta was disappointingly watery and dull. Overall, it’s a decent place for pizza, but I’d skip the rest of the menu.

Been ordering from them for like a month now and while the food is good the service is terrible every single time I’ve called and ordered from them on a Friday it’s like none of them know what they’re talking about and they get the pizza wrong every time.

Edit: Took the chance to order again from here for take out. Better option. Ordered the chorizo and hot honey, which was delicious. Their cheesy garlic focaccia bread is just pizza dough with garlic, cheese and some basil. And their meatballs and spaghetti? Just average.
Ordered from here a couple of months ago because I heard it was really good. I understand delivery can take a while, but it took over an hour. After they left the delivery, we realized they forgot certain parts of the delivery. They were able to bring one part of the order and then credited another part after coming to the house twice. Unsure if I would order delivery again. Possibly take out.
