One of our go to restaurants in Baton Rouge and we always bring visiting friends and family here for great quality Cajun food. In my opinion they have the best traditional chargrilled oysters in BR (if you like garlic). You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Friday and Saturday night can have a considerable wait time. Service is good and quick.

This is a restaurant that’s been in business for fifty years. For individual small chain that should tell ya they are good. Very large menue selection. The three of us had no complaints on the quality of the food. Service was quick and friendly. Try one of the Louisiana favorites.

Ordered the gaspard oysters which I’ve had several times at the Gonzales location. Here they were semi cold under the toppings , overtly loaded with bbq sauce and I was not able to consume them. When brought to the manager HYDI attention she completely disregarded everything I said and said store policy was they can’t take them back or remake them. After again explaining my dissatisfaction and disappointment trying to come with some resolution hydi stated “eat them or leave” and she told me she’s the only manger there’s no one else to speak to about the matter. Very rude.

I love Mike Anderson’s Seafood Restaurant. I eat here often and also host private parties here occasionally. Although I usually get their house salad with my meal, I took time to write this review tonight because I tried the coleslaw. It is exceptionally good. I particularly love the thin cut which allows the spicy honey mustard dressing to really saturate the blend of fresh cabbages. Best coleslaw I’ve had anywhere.
And when I’m not wanting seafood, the steaks are great here also.
Thanks for the great job Mike. Looking forward to the next 50 years.

I had a party of 18 and not once over the phone was it discussed about the “mandatory” celebration menu. The manager Michael P was absolutely no help to us. He could not give us a good explanation as to why we were forced to this menu. Our server was excellent to us. We also had to put a $100 deposit and it can ONLY be used if our bill totals $100 or more. I highly recommend going some where else if you want to eat with a party.

This was my first time visiting this location and the service is really what sets this restaurant apart. I came here to have lunch with my parents while I was visiting. Emily and Joshua were friendly, pleasant and informative. I could tell that they were both hard workers that enjoyed their jobs, which is hard to find in the restaurant industry. I’m glad that I had the opportunity to visit.

The oysters were small way too much stuffing in them you had to hunt to see the oysters. Won’t go back. Wasn’t worth the eighty bucks for 2 dozen should have sent them back and left

Had a very good experience at Mike Anderson’s. Had the fried crab claws for appetizers then seafood platter with cold slaw which was fine. We also try the steak and it was as perfectly cooked per our choice. The waiter very professional and made regularly stop at ours table to checking on us. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back.

The Guitreau was lacking some seasoning. The seafood gumbo was lacking some seasoning.
