I’m not from around here but my wife grew up in the area and insists we eat here whenever we visit. We’ve been visiting a couple times a year since 2009 and I remember when it was the place to be. After this visit I will not be coming back. We have a couple picky eaters in the family now who had to get something else tonight because 3 of the 5 sandwiches we ordered were incorrect. My wife, who has been ordering the same sandwich there since she was a kid, says that her sandwich was very “lackluster” compared to how it used to be. We were the only customers in the deli part of the building when the order got placed, so I’m having a little trouble wrapping my head around how a dead kitchen could make that many mistakes in such short time. Guys, I’m not mad, just disappointed.

I couldn’t believe it took 25 minutes to make one sandwich. Wonder how long it would take if they were busy. An Arby’s Reuben sandwich would have tasted better and been a lot less expensive so I will not be going back to Mike and Rosie’s.

So, the food was delicious but there are no sides. I told the cashier/order taker that I had never been there. She was absolutely no help with their unorthodox system. There are people ordering and picking up at one register even though they have a counter 35 feet long. So, everyone is in everyone else’s way. Also, they have small containers of potato salad in a cooler that you can grab yourself but you have to remember to ask for a fork because they won’t give you one as they bag your stuff. I began to reasonably express my frustration with the cashier and immediately had 4 mouthy women in my face. So, I gave them some mouth back. That’s when the owner peeked around the corner. It’s a frustrating place that doesn’t care about you stumbling over other people to order and pick up a sandwich and can’t even slip a fork in your bag when you buy a container of potato salad. If you go in be sure not to express their lack of consideration because you’ll get your head bit off and then blamed for being the rude one. Never again!

Y’all need to go to Mike and Rosy’s!! They are OPEN once again, under new owners. Pictured is the pepperoni sub, and it was delicious. We bought a pepperoni sub, roast beef sub, and a ham and turkey sub, all 8 inches and we paid 32.62. This is comparable to when we get Our Hero. Their prices are much more affordable now. This will be our first trip of many to come!! Thank you Mike & Rosy’s Deli, it was delicious.

Ordered lunch for 30 guys. Food was great, everyone enjoyed it. Appreciation for such a large order, $400 + seemed non existence. Owners, I assume, helped carry it out. But staff seemed to care less. Just my opinion!
