We were around the area and search on Google Map to found this Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and clean. The service was helpful and friendly. We ordered takeout that day. We ordered some rolls and a fried oysters. The rolls were good, but the fired oysters was a bit dry. We had fried oysters from many Japanese restaurants. Perhaps we might have to say they are 2 out of 10 on the fried oysters. They were cut in half and you can see how dry they look. It was not too pleasant. Those rolls were typical and average. We might go back again and try to eat in next time.

Great Japanese place hidden in a plaza. Small, cozy and comfortable. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was delicious. I especially loved that they had a bento box option, that way I got to try multiple things. The pork belly appetizer was my favorite thing. Service was great and fast.

I’ve driven past Mikan for the last 7 years and today was the 1st time I ever went inside and I sure am glad I did.
The Eel was fresh, the Spicy Tuna super tasty. Service was awesome. And the place was clean. Well definitely visit again.

Our first visit was 2019. My husband and I went specifically for the cooked sushi. We weren’t disappointed. For being located in South Florida it’s as authentic as we can get but we don’t have a lot of GOOD choices (surprisingly). The staff was friendly and service was fast. Try their peach or Apple sake (chilled) it was great!! I was able to make adjustments like light cream cheese so your rolls are customizable. We order The Miami Heat and Deep Fried Bagel Rolls. The Cucumber and Conch was good for an appetizer. If you do not like spicy food don’t order it. The fried ice cream was a nice first time surprise but a little too much batter. If you’re looking for a full meal with fried rice etc. this is not the place for that. If you have children unless they eat sushi there’s really nothing on the menu for them either. The sake I rate a 5 flavor of authentic food I rate a 4 I would’ve like the salmon on top cooked a little more. I believe our server was Katie who gave great recommendations for our next visit.
*Update we’ve made several visits since 2019 it’s now 2021 and we’re still loving this place. Try it you won’t be disappointed. I have tried several more cooked rolls since then. I’ll update if I try the traditional sushi rolls.

It’s an EXCELLENT place to get a delicious, fresh and so tasteful sushi. We also asked for ramen and OMG … delicious. We just loved everything in this place. The food is amazing. It was my first time trying the famous dessert (I don’t remember the name) and it’s very very delicious, especially the mango ice cream one. I definitely will be back for more of this menu. 100% recommended
