Had the opportunity to have dinner here. WOW, knock your socks off. The roll selection was amazing and the food was the closest to actual Japanese Sushi I’ve had in the area. I ordered Toro and it came with really wasabi. I will definitely make the trip here again.

I’ve been to all the Sushi Places in the Grand Rapids Area, & this place is by far the best! & Grand Rapids has some really great sushi spots.
It’s just in the strip mall here, but don’t let that fool you, it’s a hidden gem.
If you get a chance- sit at the bar.
The head chef (Jay), is the kindest person and treats you like family. We appreciated not just the exceptional food but also the experience.

Mikado Sushi is a wonder place to go to in Grand Rapids the chicken tempura is wonderful crunchy and juicy inside and the sushi is very fresh. If you are in the area highly recommend.

This was DELICIOUS like genuinely some of the best sushi I’ve ever had and I eat a LOT of sushi. I can’t believe they weren’t SLAMMED and busy because it was so yummy and the service was so good! They have a wide menu of things to choose from and the prices are so reasonable. Let’s make them super busy!

First time to visit this restaurant. I went here because it’s my friend’s favorite restaurant. Also the ratings were good in online. So we decided to go there today around lunch time with my friend and my 3 years old daughter. The food was great. The serving is big! But the service sucks. There’s this asian lady that was really rude that just instantly grab the chopstick trainer from my daughter. She even said to us that “this is not a toy!” First of all, have some manners. How about ask politely if you want to take it away. My daughter wasn’t even done eating. My daughter was in shock and so are we! We felt like they were rushing us to get out. I’m not sure if this place is a kid friendly at all.

For what you got it wasn’t even overly expensive at all it was well reasonably priced. Got the Japan Town sushi platter and the tonkotsu ramen. Both were amazing! Out of the world amazing! Being very inexperienced with sushi in general some of it was a little bit out of my wheelhouse and texturally different, very good but some of it I did not like although it’s just because it was just a textural thing for me, not bad, just different. Would definitely come back and try other stuff.

scrumptious!! the fish was super fresh, and the staff gave us great recommendations. you can tell they know what they are talking about. the toro, uni, eel, amaebi, and aji were our favorites, but the salmon, escolar, tonkatsu ramen, and appetizers were tasty as well. can’t wait to visit again!!

Bliss inducing sushi. The flavor balance is otherworldly. Eating here is a transcendental experience. This is my first experience with fresh wasabi. I’m so grateful for this meal. I can honestly say, I won’t be the same. My experience of Japanese food has truly been up-leveled.
