I come here all the time with my best friend. I always get the streak hibachi, yellow tail sashimi, and sushi rolls. It’s very cozy and the food is very good.

This is the best sushi and sashimi spot on Long Island. This place is clean, the fish is fresh and every item we tried on the menu was delicious. We went in low expectations given sushi is better in manhattan but I feel we’ve found a gem locally. They had a stir friend udon noodle chicken dish which the kids devoured. I was skeptical but the udon noodles had the perfect shiitake mushrooms flavor and really were delicious. We ordered yellowtail jalepeno, another white tuna truffle, rock shrimp,edamame, gyoza, 355 roll, mikado inspiration sashimi and the chicken udon noodles. The host was sweet and helped in recommending items for our kids. The place is kid friendly. Highly recommended this place.

Really nice place. Small and quiet. The employees were really nice and attentive, a little too attentive at times. The food was pretty good. I got Chicken Katsu with Fried Rice and Wanton Soup. My wife got a Kani salad, a Shrimp Tempora Roll and a Chicken Tempora Roll. The Chicken Katsu was fresh, hot, and crispy (large portion). The wanton Soup needed soy sauce but it was still very good, same for the rice. My said the Sushi was very good too, very fresh. Portion sizes were very generous for sushi as well. I recommend.

After reading reviews decided to try for lunch. Not good. Miso soup is 2/5 stars. I asked for spicy mayo $1 no problem this is normal with take out but to be given literally a quarter of a container when i’m paying for it is disgraceful. Hibachi lunch was OK. Fried rice not good. Will not recommend but it’s not awful.

Me and my son have been coming here for years for the lunch specials. The prices got pretty steep over time which I could understand in this economy now but they never compromise the quality of freshness here which always keeps me coming back. Great service and always recognized and welcomed. They’ve pretty much watched my son grow up and we always are excited to have our sushi date here no matter what time of year. Always great

The one thing to make Mikado better was to make it bigger and apparently they did that.
Sat at the sushi bar for the first time since the pandemic and enjoyed the precision knife work of the chefs from up close. Everything is still great here and Emily is the mayor of sushi in Lynbrook.
Fresh, flavorful and fantastic sushi rolls. First time here and I indulged in their signature Mikado Roll, Naruto & the Black Dragon. Had some Ikura on the side to add a bit of saltiness to the sweet mango sauce. Love sitting at the sushi bar to see the knife work and presentation unfolding in front of me. The chefs were very congenial, offered a nice appetizer of tuna on the house, and basically made the whole experience worth it. Will be back as this is next to my new favorite movie theater. #LocalGem #GoodEats #SushiHeaven #theresthatFoodie
Updated 5/18/2021: 1st time I was here a lil’ over a year ago, Covid had not hit us… been waiting to come back ever since. Just ordered what I had last time minus the Naruto roll. The aroma is amazing right now. Not sure what another table ordered but I think that’s what I’m having next time. Fewer tables since last time and no sitting at sushi bar. #SafeEats

The food was generally okay. Avoid the Soft Crab appetizer at all costs – the “lightly fried” app was heavily breaded, contained very little crab meat, and cost $9. Not worth it. Sushi was decent.

My partner and I ordered the rock shrimp tempura appetizer and the Sushi platter for 2 and it was very delicious. The serving staff was very friendly to all customers and gave us our dessert for free!
Would definitely recommend and come again.
Edit: My partner and I have returned several times since and this has become our go-to sushi location in this area. The staff has stayed extremely friendly and hard working and remembers us (and almost all other customers! Incredible dedication to community!). The lunch special here is an incredible bang for your buck for a healthy lunch.

sushi was mid, and drove all the way out from Long Beach in this adventure to find the sushi restaurant and it was in the middle of a block and had high expectations but it was like a local neighborhood joint where everyone knows each other, but sushi was ok and like something id find in my corner block. had the maki b combo and kani salad and mikado roll, best was the spiccy tuna roll
