Best Sushi Experience in the Neighborhood!
I had a wonderful dining experience at Mikado Japanese Restaurant. The service was truly excellent—attentive, friendly, and very helpful. The quality of the fish here is outstanding; the tuna, salmon, and yellowtail were all super fresh and perfectly prepared.
A must-try is the Dragonfly Roll—it was excellent! They also make great cocktails; my two Old Fashions were perfectly balanced and super smooth. Overall, the atmosphere and food quality make this a fantastic spot. I’m very glad to have such a great restaurant right in my neighborhood!

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they care about quality—from the fish to the rice to the service. The menu has great variety, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe made it a perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends. A great addition to the area!

Decent overall, but nothing really stood out. Everything was prepared properly, just lacking that wow factor you hope for when going out for sushi and the price. Highlight of the meal was the ginger salad dressing on the house salad.
Service:
About the same as the food—fine and acceptable, but nothing memorable either.
Atmosphere:
Standard and serviceable. It matched the experience: comfortable enough, but nothing that set it apart. We had a party of 5 that had to sit at a 4 person table. The restaurant wasn’t packed or really even busy.
The Verdict:
Mikado Sushi delivers an okay, middle-of-the-road experience. It’s not bad by any means, but it’s also not a place you’d go out of your way for unless convenience is the deciding factor.

Amazing all around! We attended the soft opening of the restaurant and everything was spot on. Anton provided great service, very attentive. Food was amazing, the Hamachi Carpaccio was the star of the show for me! The food presentation is impeccable. The ambiance is brighter than I expected but still very peaceful, quiet, and modern. I cannot wait to return to try some more items, i’d highly recommend dining here!

This is a wonderful addition to the area around Reunion Resort. Server was friendly and the orders came out in a timely manner looking beautiful and most importantly tasting delicious. The Nigiri slices were thick – so ordering 1 piece is like getting 2 at most restaurants. So many rolls to choose from! We tried the Black Dragon, Las Vegas, Dragonfly, and Ceviche roll. All were something we would order again. We will definitely be back again soon!

They have a wide variety of Japanese food on the menu, especially sushi. We were delighted with what we ordered that night. The volcano sushi was delicious. The ramen had a creamy broth that I loved. It’s great that they finally opened. We will definitely be coming back!

Enjoy the Bento Box meals. What a great way to try many different items at once and the portions are large.

Mikado is a fantastic addition to the area. Each dish is meticulously hand crafted for presentation and taste. The inside of the restaurant is tastefully done. The staff is very hospitable and our server, Vicky, was so friendly! With a vast menu, there is a constant rotation of different things to try each visit. While relatively new to the area, Mikado in Davenport presents a promising future.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The crab rangoons were hands-down the best we’ve ever had — perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. Every roll we ordered was fresh, beautifully made, and so good we couldn’t pick a favorite.
