Just a regular restaurant, a bit dingy n old. Ordered the Ahi Poke, Dragon Roll n Crazy Roll. Poke was the best, tho’ can do with more mayo, a tad dry. Both the rolls were lacking that spicy kick n crazy roll was a bit too over fried. Chinese server was attentive. Bill for 2 came up to abt US$52 before tips

Mikado’s is usually very good. Like any restaurants I’m sure they can have an off night but tonight they were their normal “very good”!
We had reservations and they seated us right away. We were also greeted with a nice “Happy Mother’s Day” as well. Our waitress got our drink orders quickly and got our order quickly as well.
Our selections were: Fuji Yama roll, Hibachi Chicken with fried rice, Hibachi Combo Chicken and Steak as well as Beef Yaki Noodle Soba. All entrees came with the regular ginger salad and we also ordered one avocado salad
All meals came out fairly quickly (but not too quickly that we couldn’t enjoy our salads) and cooked correctly. The salads were also very good. Everyone enjoyed their meal and had zero complaints.
If you are looking for the type of restaurant that cooks in front of you with “flair” as a group, this is not your place. Personally I enjoy just sitting with my group and am happy to skip that “flair”.
The receipt does calculate tip incorrectly (they calculate on tax) so be aware of that if you need them to do your math.
Overall a very nice place to eat.

They were open for Christmas Eve and provided the same high level of service and quality as before, even on a busy holiday night.

We had an early dinner before returning home to Houston. The food was fresh, and the fried calamari, sashimi, and sushi rolls were really tasty. Not too much rice, and since it was happy, the prices were really good. The miso soup was good and didn’t seem to have msg.

I been eating here for a couple of years and they are excellent in every sense of it… the best in the area! The servers and hostess always kind and helpful. They also have happy hour prices.
The restaurant is super clean and the bathrooms too.

We stopped by here for lunch by chance, thinking it was an all-you-can-eat place like the other Mikado location we usually visit. It turned out to be an à la carte restaurant—and a very good one! In the end, we left completely satisfied and will definitely come back. The waitress also provided excellent service at a very high standard!

The decor in this place was definitely a 4 out of 5 for me. I loved all the Japanese touches they had everywhere. The only knock I have would be the lighting. It was very yellowish.
The service was a 3 out of 5. I don’t know if the server was new but he kept us waiting before he would come take our order. I also asked what he would recommend and he didn’t suggest anything he liked or his customers liked. I wish I had gotten his name so the restaurant could give the feedback. He was very nice and so I’m not saying he was bad just needs improvement in a couple of areas of service.
We order several dishes to try out and for the most part they were good. Some of the dishes lacked the flavor bombs I was hoping for. The shrimp fried rice had a good flavor but it was missing some salt and garlic flavors. The rolls we had were very tasty which I loved. A couple other dishes helped round out a very decent meal. I would have to give the food a 3 out of 5.

My family has been on and off regulars here now for a few years. This is our go to sushi spot. The food is always great, and typically fair service. However I came here with my daughter this week and had a terrible experience. It was extremely busy, and they clearly weren’t staffed to accommodate that. I tried to be extra patient given the situation. I became very frustrated when our server brought us drinks, the ran off before even asking if we wanted to order and proceeded to take everyone’s order around us despite us having gotten there first. I waited no exaggeration 15-20 minutes after that just to put the order in. No big deal, I was going to let that go. Then I realized when I got the bill she charged me FULL PRICE not happy hour prices despite me being there well before happy hour ended, just sitting there waiting. That’s very upsetting and horrible business practice. I heard this same server get in an argument with the family next to us because they politely tried to tell her she brought over something they didn’t order. She proceeded to rudely tell them that they did order it and get very nasty with them over an appetizer! I don’t know what they did or didn’t order, but I think it’s safe to say between how busy it was and the obvious language barrier that she likely did make a mistake and bring the wrong item. Regardless, it was totally inappropriate of her to be arguing with a customer over it. After this experience, I think we’re gonna need a break from here to check out some new spots. I really hope the business is able to staff more appropriately and hopefully train the server better!

This place is so good!! The food is amazing! They have a good happy hour with a good variety! My husband and parents loved the sushi! The bathroom wasn’t in the best condition as the sink was leaking but that’s not too bad. The customer service was great!
