Social Profile:

Our passion for fresh food comes from our founder, Mary Vasquez. Throughout her childhood in Central Mexico, she cooked with her mother and grandmother, helping to prepare family meals. When she moved to the States, she married Mike, had children of her own, continuing to make her favorite recipes from her childhood. In 1973, Mike and Mary took over an existing restaurant in Corona, CA and renamed it “Miguel’s” in honor of Mike’s grandfather. Today this family tradition continues. It is our promise to deliver the freshest, best tasting California Mexican food each and every day at all of our Miguel’s Jr. locations.

I always order “no rice”, because I’m not a fan of rice in burritos. I go to this spot quite a bit. I’ve had it happen plenty where they still give rice and beans even when I ask for “no rice”. I usually won’t complain tho because it’s an easy mistake. This is the first time they just did rice and no beans when I asked “no rice”. It was so dry & I’m salty enough to include it in my review Some of the staff here have been immature before, but there’s some cool people there too. Overall tho I’ve had more good experiences at this locations than bad. The prices are okay & the food is not bad.

Miguel’s food is pretty good and the staff’s professionalism has gotten better as of recent. However, I am really disturbed by a recent order we had. My daughter ordered their chicken taquitos à la carte and noticed after her last taquito that there was a hole melted through the plastic container. Pretty gross and toxic. We won’t be coming till the packaging is better quality.

I visited with my family for dinner after a long day at Big Bear. The service was amazing. Keny, our cashier, was extremely helpful and recommend the carnitas quesadilla which was delicious. The chips were not too salty and crunchy. My chile verde plate was not too spicy, flavorful, and tender. Even the rice and beans were amazing. Now we have a dinner place after Big Bear or Oak Glen.

Asked about 3 times to make sure there’s no onions or tomatoes in my burrito and of course, there were extra onions and tomatoes in the burrito. Noticed after I drove 20 mins home. Tried to call twice and nobody answers the phone. I also was never given a receipt. Super disappointing, I go like every other week here. Probably won’t for a while. The picture is how many tomatoes and onions I picked out in one bite.

I came here with my daughters mother, my daughters aunt and both mothers kids. We definitely had a group. I didn’t know we were coming to Miguel”s Jr. My first experience with Miguel’s goes back over 15 years ago when I visited their Corona location.

Well, lets just say that their was a reason I never found myself eating Miguel’s. The employees were nice, store was busy but a bit dirty at the time. I just could not get over portions versus the prices. Knowing the story of Miguel’s and how they modeled after some other franchise businesses (Bakers)… yeah.

It was interesting to see the faces of everyone as if they were tolerating the food and how much was left over that went into the trash. I never saw this type of boredom and quiet unsatisfactory type of look. Other places everyone gets “to-go” boxes and and appear to have had a happy experience. I didn’t say anything but my observations solidified what I already knew.

No more Miguel’s Jr.

I always use the drive-thru as Miguel’s is on my way home. Their food is yummy, especially their relleno burritos! They are busy, yet fairly quick. The employees are friendly, helpful and thorough!

Order a breakfast burrito and the bacon was uncooked still raw white and pink meat, so that got tossed out. I couldn’t take it back since I driven off . Other than this. Employee was pleasant and courteous. Area looked clean and ready for the day.

Today my beautiful wife and I visited Miguel’s Jr. in Redlands, CA. We ordered the shredded tacos with rice and beans plate and a couple of tacos and other items on the side. To drink we ordered lemonade and horchata. For a fast food restaurant, the food and service were average or above. I would recommend that in the near future, the restaurant offer their meals with low sodium. Because their food and service were acceptable, I will focus on the cleanliness of the men’s restroom, which I used. Out of five stars, I would give it 4. Everything was in order and adequately stocked. However, of the two faucets, the water ran too slowly on one. The facilities were clean but ventilation could have been better and smelling fresh.
