I had the tacos al pastor and my husband had the combination #1
genuinely the best mexican we’ve had in fairbanks and the fastest service!

our waitress (the check says Ashleigh) was so sweet and had perfect timing for her check ins at the table. even brought my husband a free fried ice cream for his birthday but could tell he was a bit embarrassed so didn’t sing 🙂

definitely would come again for the margaritas alone

Despite the name, there is nothing very “authentic” about this restaurant. The chips are stale, the salsa was jarred or canned, the tortillas were not homemade and were stale.

I had a carne asada taco and an asada “Boss” burrito. Unfortunately the steak was not very flavorful and it didn’t taste fresh. The food itself wasn’t terrible but it definitely wasn’t worth the money.

Save yourself the trip. We had to send our guacamole back and exchange it for queso. The guacamole was too vinegary and tasted a few days old. The queso was definitely just melted Velveeta with a bit of salsa. The rest of the meal was mediocre at best. One item we ordered was never brought out and after it being the third mistake already, we chose not to ask for it again. The waitress never gave us or offered us drink refills. And she was hard to track down for other requests.

Love this place! Very generous portions at good prices, and loaded with flavor!

My wife and I have eaten here several times now, and never let down. The house-made molé is something else!

Definitely worth a try if you’re on the fence.

My lengthy quest to find my favorite Mexican restaurant in Fairbanks has finally ended. The margs were good, the Al pastor was a little dry but seasoned well so net positive. The chimichanga was excellent. The mole was a little runny and didn’t quite have the dark, rich flavor I prefer but overall I enjoyed my meal. Miguel’s is my new favorite spot!

Salsa was good, the fire roasted tomatoes have it a good flavor. Asada fajitas were good and perfect portion for 1. The loaded shredded beef nachos were stacked and the large was more than enough for 1 person.

Restaurant was clean and staff were very polite. Prices were great.

We had a great experience here- good food and service! $5 for unlimited chips&salsa. The blended margaritas were delicious. I got the carne asada tacos and the tostada

So i recently went to Miguel’s Authentic Mexican restaurant and had the worst time ever.
1 typically when you go to a Mexican restaurant they bring you chips and salsa. Same with almost every Mexican restaurant in the United States .. we’ll here’s the kicker.. it was not free. $4.50 for filler food.
Its like going to Olive Garden and them charging you for the bread sticks or to Texas Roadhouse and being charged for the peanuts..
2 my waitress was extremely rude and snippy and overall seemed to be rushing me.
3 the food was bland at very best.
So in conclusion I will not be going there ever again.

Nice little place. Small dining room. Very clean women’s restroom. Food is good, not great. Portions are good. French fries are to die for! My daughter got a free fried ice cream on her birthday. Sopa pillas are flat, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and honey. Topped with a little whipped cream. Served on a 10 or so inch plate and cut like a pizza. Kid friendly. High chairs and booster seats. I recommend this place.

Went for dinner. Menu is very limited for true Mexican flair, but this is Fairbanks. Value for money is decent and margaritas were ok.
