The experience was amazing, I loved the vibe, service is excellent! Omar was so friendly and professional explaining everything and suggesting.
We ordered the course of soup, salad, steak meal, fries and desert, everything was so delicious and the soup was exceptional!
They gave me a cake for my bday as well
Will definitely go again!
The price is also so good.

My friend and I went for the three course meal deal. We had the carrot soup, steak with fries, and crème brûlée. All three items were really good. The soup was creamy, the steak was an amazing medium rare, and the crème brûlée was perfect.
The steak is definitely on the smaller side but the meal in its entirety is very filling and they give you a lot of fries. Definitely worth the money!

The steak frites special was quite good as well as the cocktails. I recommend their lychee martini. The moules frites were also quite nice and fresh. However, service was a little slow and could’ve been a little bit more attentive and friendly. We had to ask for multiple things that were still forgotten (the usual bread that comes with the meal, knives etc). It is to note that food took quite long and we were served well after lots of tables. That being said, restaurants can have slower nights. The interior is lovely, but being by the door will have you very cold during the winter as it opens frequently. I would still give them another visit in the future. The steak was enjoyable but do note the portions are small for the price.

We were a group of four, and at first everything was amazing—the food was incredible. Unfortunately, there was about a 40-minute wait between the appetizer and the main course, which made us lose our appetite. Then, it took another 20 minutes for the dessert to arrive. Aside from the long waits, the food itself was excellent. Bummer they never apologized for the delay.

Cheap steakhouse place. We went for the MTL à Table menu. Started with a tiny bite of crab cake, followed by a tasteless house salad. For the main course, I ordered their signature steak… the dish arrived warm, not hot, and the piece of meat was really thin, small, and felt cheap. The only thing that was actually good was the cheesecake.

The tables were too close, we could clearly hear the people at the tables next to us speaking, it was very loud.

The service wasn’t great. My glass of water stayed empty, and the waitress didn’t come back to check whether the steak was cooked to our liking or if needed anything.

We came for the MTLàTABLE event, which offered a four-course menu.

My mushroom bruschetta was great, but I was surprised that it was such a small portion. My boyfriend ordered the crab cake, which came out the size of a toonie. I usually don’t like crab, but decided to try a bite and couldn’t even tell that it was supposed to be a crab cake because it just tasted like old fryer oil. Could not taste crab.

Our next course was just the house salad. The dressing was extremely mild and we could barely taste it. The lettuce pieces were huge and hard to eat without cutting it up… which is not what I want from a basic salad. The walnuts were the best part…

The main was steak frites which is usually one of my favourite things to order. The fries were clearly just out of a bag and looked/tasted the same as what I’d get at a cheap chain restaurant. I ordered a medium-rare steak, which is what I always order and was surprised to see that about 1/3 of the steak was totally gray inside. The very middle could pass for medium, but it was overcooked. My boyfriend’s steak was also quite overdone, and we alerted a member of staff. I was impressed that they took it back to the kitchen immediately without asking questions (does this happen a lot?), but was then talked down to by a different member of staff who I assume was the manager. He explained that he had a look at our steaks and they looked fine, and the kitchen uses thermometers to determine doneness. Okay…. My steak was still gray and not medium rare. I mentioned that we do, indeed, go to many steakhouses and know what a medium-rare sirloin looks like (which is not gray anywhere, and bright pink in the middle) and the waiter recommended that I should have ordered a rare if I wanted that. It felt condescending, and I did not appreciate it. I had never ordered a rare steak in my life, but he decided that he would tell the kitchen that I wanted it rare. On the second try, it came out fine but was definitely medium-rare, not rare. I really liked the sauce that came on it, but it was overall just a fine steak and nothing special.

Finally, we got cheesecake for dessert which was alright. There was a bit of strawberry sauce on the very top, but definitely not enough to add anything. The cheesecake was no better than what I’d expect from a grocery store one.

If you’re a tourist who is unfamiliar with upscale steakhouses, you will probably be satisfied here. I assume that is their target audience based on the mediocre food.

Very cute resto! First time in the old port location. We came for the 1$ 5a7 oysters they were very good. We orders drinks and only complaint is the dirty martini was shaken which is not a classic martini, which left it a bit watery. Otherwise very good and nice atmosphere.

What a fabulous experience! Our food was incredible, but the service surpassed it all. The server was attentive. Our order was missed by a printing error for the kitchen, and we were treated so well. When our food did come, it was delicious. Would highly recommend!

Got the Table d’Hôte menu and a couple of wine glasses, the soup starter was very tasty and interesting, it was a cauliflour and leek cream soup. The steak frites was definitely the best course with the fries being absolutely insane. The steak was savory and the sauce was delicious. The dessert was not the best since they ran out of Creme Brulée. Very vibey, the food did take a lot of time between courses.

Had a great evening at Mignon in Old Montreal. Cool vibes, great atmosphere. The service was excellent from Pablo and the French fries and steak were perfectly done. Also enjoyed the martini selection and red wines!
