After gym and resting in a bit, we headed over to Mignon on 6th Street for dinner. As it was Happy Hour from 4pm to 7pm, we had the red and white house wine each at $5. For $5, the price and quality is really quite good. We also had the ham and brie ($11) and prosciutto and butter ($11) sandwich. Tom enjoyed the prosciutto sandwich which had the fatty bits while Kate enjoyed the brie. We enjoyed the way our sandwiches were prepared – gourmet, with pickles on the side and sweet mustard. Love the vibes where the staff gave us space, despite being seated “at the bar”…

Love mignon! Reminds me of my Parisian days. The burrata and baguette plate was delightful. It also has like a honey and some nuts/ dried figs on the side. I came for happy hour which lasts until 7pm weekdays and all day Sunday. I highly recommend if you want something chill and also if you’re a solo traveler.

Mignon is a great place to have wine and food in DTLA. Great service, comfortable environment, and the first place that I saw For the Win smashburgers being smashed and sold during the COVID lockdowns a few years ago. Cozy environment that vaguely reminds me of the Cheers TV show bar meets the hustle and bustle of DTLA.

Lovely gem in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles. The food is delicious – the best artichoke I’ve ever had it was so favorable crispy lemony just incredible. The wine was perfect the cheese & baguette were mouthwatering. The goat cheese desert was delish too. The vibe was a welcoming neighborhood cafe type feel with perfect low lighting in the evening. Our fave neighborhood cafe.

Good local wine/food bar. Decent food, low prices. May be a little bit too dark, so you don’t really see what you eat 🙂

Wow! One of the best hidden gems in DTLA. The food was phenomenal! The baguette alone was worth the trip. And the pasta rescued me from a deep post-election funk. And it wasn’t terribly expensive either. I felt like I was on the set of Sex and the City, circa 1999, with Portishead bumping in the background. I wanted a Cosmo and a cigarette. Badly. It was giving the best NYC feels. And I loved it! Shoutout to Christopher for welcoming us!

A perfect little neighborhood wine bar. Tight, well chosen wine by the glass menu with a better than it needs to be menu of both snacks and mains. The pasta is a standout. Great people running the place too.

Only took a few glasses of wine , artichoke, and paté de campagne, but all was fantastic, served with bread that would make French people like me jealous. Very nice staff. Nice place to eat outside.

Loved the charcuterie board that we were served. A great spot for date night. Truly feels like a cafe in France.

Easily one of the coolest, most low-key spots in the city for a glass of wine and great vibes.
