Located in Waltham, Mighty Squirrel Taproom & Kitchen is the heart of our brewing operation. This spacious, welcoming spot sits alongside our brewery, where guests can watch the entire beer-making process. In the morning, we serve as a neighborhood coffee shop with a full breakfast menu featuring Dubai chocolate pancakes and chilaquiles. For lunch and dinner, enjoy globally inspired dishes like tuna aguachile, lamb lollipops, and birria tacos—each crafted to pair with our beers, hard seltzers, and hard smoothies. With a relaxed vibe and private event spaces, it’s perfect for any gathering. Located on the 300-acre Beaver Brook park, it’s the ideal place to relax after a walk or bike ride with friends and family.

Great night out with the wife. Fire pit, some fun activities, board games, corn hole… we went before the revamp.
We had prepackaged chips and Guac – it was perfect for us!
Giant bag of Chips and a tub of Guac – drank some amazing beers until the chips were gone!
Parking is plentiful – Beer is Local – Bring some friends!

Great spot in Waltham. Mighty Squirrel Taproom & Kitchen has a big, open space with a great atmosphere. Solid beer selection with plenty of IPAs and seasonal options, and the food was better than expected for a taproom. Easy parking and friendly staff. Definitely a go-to brewery in the area.

My favorite neighborhood spot is ruining itself.
I’m writing this not to bash Mighty Squirrel, but in hopes they reevaluate their recent changes.
We used to visit nearly every weekend for the casual atmosphere and rotating food trucks. Recently, they’ve replaced those trucks with an their own food and moved to a seated-service model. With only two waitresses working a busy Friday night, the service was understandably overwhelmed.
The food arrived before our drinks and was a major letdown. For $80, we received two beers, a soup, a burger, and “Birria” cheese curds. While the beer was great, the burger and curds were ice cold. What was once a great local spot has become a generic, overpriced restaurant with below average food and poor service.

Food is great, beer is great, but the conversion to table service was a terrible choice. When you add table service, this becomes a restaurant experience. It’s no longer a chill “come and go as you want” brewery experience. I’d much rather be able to sit wherever, without a server, and order drinks and food on my own. QR code, or thru the bar or whatever. Plus, way too many children. I don’t mind a few kids, but there are tiny kids running all over this place.

While the food on site isn’t the kind you’d get at a sit down restaurant by any means, they chose traditional choices to be well paired with a good beer, and have had food trucks outside the business on most occasions I’ve visited that looks absolutely delicious! The beer is outstanding, and if you arrive before 4 PM, you can order a very satisfying coffee from your choice of over a dozen styles!

After having a pint of Cloud Candy at the Summer Shack I had to pay them a visit and see what else they had to offer. I was very disappointed that they don’t offer flights, it’s the only brewery I’ve ever been to that doesn’t and I’ve been to many. It is very spacious in there but the atmosphere and decor was bland. I had the Magic Rain IPA which was very good and also the Fluff The Magic Dragon IPA that was great at first but had a spiciness at the end that did not match the description. I left after those two 7 once beers because I couldn’t stay long and didn’t want to have 7 onces of all the ones I wanted to try. But the Cloud Candy and Double Cloud Candy are phenomenal.

Great beer and great place for social gatherings. So many beer options! They update their menu periodically and recently add non-alcoholic beer. They also have a coffee bar. I like that everyone in a group will be able to find something there. The Cloud Candy IPA is my go-to. The name sounds sweet but it is actually not too fruity. Their new IPA, Mountain Standard Time, is a great addition and my new fav! They have food trucks outside by the parking lot and the Mexican one is yummy. It’s there a few days a week. Great tacos and beef soup. I tried the burrito bowl and liked the tacos more. The brewery posts weekly food truck schedules so you get different food truck options depending the day of a week.

I don’t even drink beer, but the blood orange IPA knocked my socks off! I wish I could buy their product in Texas! Poutine was excellent, too!

Great stop if you are in the area. Everyone is very friendly, beer is great, there’s food trucks or some food options on site. They also serve coffee which is actually really good! I’m so glad we made the trip before hopping on a plane!

We love going here for drinks and to hang out with friends. They have good beer and lots of board games to choose from. They offer food which is a little pricey but we’ve brought cupcakes for a birthday before and that was allowed, which was another plus. It is also very baby- and child-friendly.
