Had a layover and stopped in here for breakfast. Our waitress, Rosita, was the most friendly person we ever met. She was so kind and so attentive. And you could see her interact with other customers and had the same outgoing friendly attitude. We felt she went way above and beyond.
The food was exactly what we needed. Everything was fresh and tasteful. I honestly cant remember the last time I had such a great experience eating at an airport. Usually they corral you in, throw some sub-par food down your throat, and kick you out. Thats not the deal here.
We often have layovers in Charlotte and will definatly be coming back next time we’re thru here.

Had a long layover and decided to try this smoke house. Wasn’t that good, and was told that’s how the food is served there. The brisket added on top of the fries was shredded!!!! Skip that app, the sausage was good. Happy I opted for sweet fries so they are fresh cooked. The fries in the app plate were cold, not even warm.

Horrible service. Bartender was rude. To go lady was rude. No hostess available. Slow, slow, slow, slowwwwww. I love midwood but the airport location is flat out trash. Hot garbage.

Management – Do not renew your airport lease. This location is killing your brand.

We had a wonderful experience and the food was amazing. Dee was our our server and the manager is on point as well. We also witnessed so many others enjoying their meals. I got the Nachos Libre without meat and a margarita and my honey got the Smokehouse burger. Anytime you come through CLT Douglas please stop by.

Stopped here at airport layover. The food did not disappoint. Heavenly, but when you put an old fashion on the drink menu and massacre it then charge 23.00 for a single after telling me it was a double? Shame on you. First you need to learn how to make an old fashion and second someone needs to school you on what a double is. Please people eat there food but don’t get r over the coals for there drinks.

After a long day of traveling during the holiday season I wanted something good to eat during a 3 hour delay in Charlotte. THIS WAS NOT IT!
The line was short and the platters were a bit pricey but I decided to go for it anyway.
I ordered the BBQ pork platter with 2 sides and choice of bread ($18.99). I choose mac-n-cheese and collard greens for the sides because those were the only choices available. It was around 9pm so I figured they were sold out of everything else at that time of the evening. Both were tasteless. The collards greens were obviously straight out of a can with no seasoning at all and the mac was bland. The blue box would have tasted better. Customer service was just as bland as the food. As I approached the counter the server just stood there and waited for me to speak. Overall, I give this restaurant 2 stars because the cashier was polite, BBQ was pretty good and the food was hot. I doubt if I’ll ever try this restaurant again.

The burnt ends plate was definitely not worth $30! I should’ve known not to order it when the person next to me left it all on their plate. Nearly all of the chunks were just fat. The barbecue sauce was way too sweet. The mac and cheese had no flavor. The service was fast, as expected.

Ordered from a QR code on the table. Ordered the pulled pork dinner with a side of baked beans. They brought an order of brisket nachos and said I had ordered them! Did not and refused them.
After a fairly long wait, got my actual order.
Pulled pork was okay. Did get a generous portion. Baked beans were good, touch of heat. Hush puppies were cold but tasted okay.
Sat at the bar. Was crowded. Lady bartender was trying, needed help.
Overall it was okay. Pretty much airport food and service. Captive customers, so overpriced and so-so service.

Great gluten-free options. Download their allergen menu. Really good food. I had the brisket grits for breakfast and a couple of screwdrivers. After trying several other places only this place could help with my allergies and actually cared to help. Bartender is really good. He’ll ask for a one star review but don’t do that. The place is very clean and everyone hustles here, constantly checking on your needs. I highly recommend… if you found this review helpful, please click like.

Just left this restaurant in the Charlotte airport. Normally, I don’t get irritated when sitting and not being acknowledged. However, seeing that there were more staff than the 2 other customers in there (see photo) and the bartender sat on her phone and walked away instead of greeting me, I would say pass on this place. I saw servers but none greeted me. I was simply ignored. I’ve been in the restaurant business for 2 decades, so I know it’s basic serving etiquette to make sure your customers are greeted within the first minute if possible. (It also means I tip well.) Eating at the airport is expensive. Why go to a place where they don’t even acknowledge your existence in an empty restaurant?
