While on a cross-country trip we used Google Maps to find a place to stop. Since we were in Texas we wanted either Tex-Mex or barbecue. This place had many good reviews so we chose it. Ordering was very simple, food came out very quickly. The brisket was tasty but a bit dry. The sausage was very tasty but also quite dry. The chicken was amazing! I suggest you try all of the sauces as something will appeal to everyone. We even bought several to take as presents for friends

For many decades, this has been the go to place in Katy. Not only for the delicious barbecue, but a great and friendly atmosphere. You can get the homemade jerky and beef sticks, your favorite beers, and some wonderful desserts.
I have personally eaten Midway BBQ for over 30 years, being a Katy native. I’ve never been let down by the food or the service. And they even have a rewards program for frequent diners. Definitely go in and check it out. The taxidermy on the wall is worth the trip.

Needed a quick meal with Gluten Free options and this place was perfect. No line, food came out quick. Peppered turkey was moist with lots of flavor. My brisket taco was excellent and a decent size for $6. I would stop here again between Austin and Houston, or if I’m at Katy Mills

My best friend came down for my birthday, and I took her to Midway BBQ. The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, hearty, and satisfying. A great spot to celebrate!

Order was placed to go. Whol’ Lotta Potato was the selection of choice. Meat selection was brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage. Appreciated that the pico de gallo and white cheddar was packaged individually. Cream corn and mac and cheese was good and did well reheating. The dessert looked incredible and I regret not trying. Over all loved the fact I can pack my own jalapeño, onions, and pickles. They allow extra bbq sauce. Place was tidy and clean. Staff was friendly.

Food was great.
Cashier was rude, I returned to the front to order an additional side for one of my (long haired) boys, and he said “boy? Which one?” & when I replied he said “they both look like Wednesday Addams”.
Manager apologized, offered a free desert, and the cashier apologized after being scolded by that same manager, but it did kind of spoil the whole experience.
It didn’t help that it was one of the boys’ birthdays, and Midway was a place we’d never been; he specifically wanted to try it for the first time & ended up getting insulted.
Probably won’t be back.

While visiting town, I was taken here by family. I had the 3 meat combo with brisket, pulled pork, and smoked jalapeño cheese sausage. The pulled pork was the tastiest of all three. I’m sure it varies from day to day. Great friendly service. Highly recommended

Midway BBQ was my 1st attempt at Texas BBQ and it did not disappoint compared to what I have tried with my experiences. I loved the service and the look of the place the food was all good, I felt the ribs were flat and not as meaty as I was told it was going to be but enjoyed them, I all in the same. I was also hoping for Texas toast instead I got two pieces of white bread instead.

Visited Midway a couple of weeks ago. I was looking something close to Bucees because my aunt and grandpa were visiting from Mexico and grandpa wanted to eat BBQ before heading back home. Thankful Google Maps suggested this place. I wanted to take them to a good, homy spot not a chain restaurant. Everyone and everything was great. We ordered the original deal, and everything was delish! My 1yr really enjoyed the brisket and mac&cheese. We had left overs and ordered extra for family members that couldn’t accompany us. We hope to be back soon
