I can’t say enough good things about Midori Teriyaki Wok! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warmth and hospitality. Their friendly demeanor instantly made me feel welcome. 4/6/24- This was my first visit here. Looking for new place in Auburn. We got in, ordered and received our food pretty quickly. We were there a little early for dinner, but there were take-out orders and a few ppl sitting in. The guy at the counter wasn’t super friendly, but he wasn’t rude. The food was tasty, the portions were average. I’ll be back. I tried the chicken teriyaki, honey chicken and the kung pow chicken. All were good. Only bottled soda, the fountain soda machine was broken. Fresh ice water available for you to get and refill as needed.

I like Midori Teriyaki Wok for their chicken teriyaki and the chicken and beef combo. However, lately price has been increased and the serving portion has also been reduced.
For a small box of chicken teriyaki, it’s about $14.00. On top of that, I got a piece of hair in my food. I understand it’s family-owned, at least wear a cap or something if not wearing the hair net. In addition, my order took about 15 minutes today.
A couple of guys came in way after I ordered my food they got their food served on the table right away. They were eating their food when mine got ready.

the service was good but the Mongolian chicken was not spicy at all. it had a good flavor but when i expect some heat and there’s none i am disappointed. the gyoza was yummy with a delicious dipping sauce. they do have the Mexican Coke (made with real sugar) so that was very nice. i may return, probably try the spicy chicken teriyaki but only if i am in the area

Be warned, they won’t let you eat there after 8:30 PM. All orders are take out only .
Occasionally they pretend like you are ordering more food than what your are actually saying. So be careful. When you order a combo, they will try to charge you 2 dinner plates.

This place has the best food! I’m so glad it’s close to me. I’ve tried their Mongolian Beef. I also tried their combination Mongolian Beef & Teriyaki Chicken. Both very delicious. Both the chicken & and the beef is cooked to perfection. Teriyaki sauce has the perfect amount of sweetness. Mongolian Beef flavor is indescribably good. The green onions/onions add another layer of freshness to the flavor because they aren’t overcooked and soggy. I can’t wait to try out some of their other dishes. I was told that i could add substitute fried rice for a few extra dollars. The amount of food I get, the quality of food all compared to the price I pay, it is all worth every penny! 🙂

Totally agree with new reviews. Service is terrible. The owners daughter was so rude to us.
The owner was standing there and I politely said “you shouldn’t allow her to be rude with customers”. He put his arm around her and said my daughter.
Ok so if the owner doesn’t have a clue, there’s no hope.
Food is hit or miss. But really, other places deserve our business who actually give service. There are plenty of small family business in Auburn who aren’t rude.
Update: after dinner next door TOP PHO, glad this happened. Top pho was excellent and extremely nice. Some of the best yellow curry (sweet yum) I’ve had. Get it without meat though.

04jan2022 TUE ~12:00 Swee & i went to Midori for lunch. We were the only 2 guests till ~15 mins later when a person came in for a Takeaway. ~12:30 after we completed our lunch, as we were leaving, a group of ~6 people came in. Midori is reasonably clean and tidy. We had a Lunch Special (Noodles & Beef) and Chicken Teriyaki & Rice .. both were yummy-licious .. and good value for money
