We had a wonderful time. 5 of us including 2 children. Be careful because it is deceptive in a good way. The rolls are large. They are smart to allow you to order in sets of two pieces. Careful not to over order! The all you can eat menu is a wonderful way to try new things in small quantities. Very good.

I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life at this sushi restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the service was inattentive and unprofessional. We waited far too long just to be acknowledged, and once seated, our server seemed annoyed that we were even there.

The food was even more disappointing. The sushi did not taste fresh at all , the fish had a strange taste and the texture was off-putting. The rolls were sloppily put together, falling apart before we could even pick them up and the seaweed was so chewy I couldn’t chew it. Presentation was careless, and nothing looked appetizing.

To make matters worse Instead of apologizing, the staff acted as though it was our fault. The waitress said it was funny how they had no bad reviews until we walked in she only ever came to our table once after dropping our food off. No check in and no offer to refill drinks Customer service was horrible.

For the prices they charge, the quality and experience were unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good sushi or decent service. Completely disappointing from start to finish.

I had a terrible experience at Midori. If I could give negative stars I would. Between the uncomfortable atmosphere and the poor food, there is absolutely no reason to eat here. The most upsetting part was the owner’s behavior. He was incredibly creepy, standing around and staring at our table the entire time. It made the whole meal feel awkward and intrusive.
The food was just as bad The Teriyaki: This was the worst part. The meat didn’t even seem cooked; it was just drowned in a thick, gross amount of sauce to hide the quality. Portions & Quality: The servings were tiny, and the fish didn’t taste fresh at all. You get very little food for what you pay, and what you do get is poor quality.
The Verdict: Save your money. The owner’s constant watching is weird, and the kitchen clearly doesn’t know what they’re doing.

Food was good, servers were friendly. Did wait awhile for some more water / utensils but nothing crazy. Unfortunately didn’t bring out a few of the things we had ordered specifically for someone in our party whom is vegan so their experience wasn’t great.

Also I kept waiting for chicken karage to come out as we had ordered it 3 times but it turns out the chicken wings they kept bringing out were what they called karage. They were delicious and crispy but definitely not karage.

We used to enjoy this place a lot, but last time the service and food was not nearly as good as usual. We considered it a “one off” and hoped that upon return it was better.
But we are here now and the service is less than 1 star and the food is MEH !
Add to that, the music they’re playing is the Christian Music station and while I respect a persons’ right to religion, (any religion) it’s improper to play non stop religious music if you are a business trying to attract multiple customers from differing religious views. That is a very personal thing and should be kept as such in a business atmosphere.
Highly doubt we’ll come back unless there are some major changes.
I also thought that Google reviews were based on actual “REVIEWS” not reviews based on freebies ! (See photo) and not even a great freebie!

Dake was the OG all you can eat, they merged with this place and ever since dake closed we’ve been going here. Never as good as dake but it was still good at the beginning. Over time it’s gone downhill. Today was our last time going, the fish didn’t taste very fresh, the service was mediocre at best and the food was just gross. Nothing tasted right. We left and went elsewhere to eat. Had to take the leftover food and throw it in the trash so we didn’t get charged for leftovers. We just couldn’t eat it cause it was so gross. So sad.

Love the food here, I used to go during covid, however, I was very sad to see not long ago how much the food went up in price. There is an all you can sushi option, but during covid it was $18-$22, now it’s around $35, I understand that with the terrible economy and inflation and such prices everywhere went up, but at this rate there is less incentive to come here. Non-buffet options did not go up quite as substantially. I will say though that the sushi is pretty good though, just be prepared to be spending well over $40 per person if not perhaps a bit more. It still is potentially a good place to go for special occasions however. Prices aside though the food is pretty good.

We ordered 30 pieces of sashimi, and each one was ridiculously tiny—literally smaller than my fingernail. After just two rounds, they flat-out refused to give us more. If there’s a limit on sashimi, that needs to be clearly stated, not sprung on customers mid-meal.

The service? Absolutely terrible. No one cleared our empty plates, there were no napkins or drinks provided, and we basically had to serve ourselves. The owner wouldn’t even acknowledge us when we tried to ask questions—completely dismissive.

As for the food, it was bland and forgettable. Honestly, don’t waste your money here. All you’ll leave with is frustration and regret. We’re never coming back.

*Scam alert*
Came here after a long roadtrip hoping for a nice filling all you can eat meal. I called before I arrived asking if the sashimi is included, they said yes.
We had a group of 5, placed an order for 100 pieces of sashimi, after 40min a plate with only 20 pieces of poke bowl sized sashimi came out. The nigiri was paper thin you could almost see through it. Just look at the photos.
When asking why we didn’t get the full order, they said they were busy. After our second round of orders we asked again why we didn’t get the full portion we ordered, they said they didn’t get their fish delivery yesterday.
When wanting to speak with the owner, who was walking around, he looked at us, and avoided eye contact. Completely dismissed our request to speak with him, and the waiters told us we could speak with the wife if we wanted to, which we agreed, and who never showed up.

Please, if you value your sanity, stay AWAY from this restaurant.
(I feel bad for the waiters, who have to defend this owner)

All you can eat sushi? Or all you can eat rice?

Don’t come to this please if you’re expecting to taste some good sushi, because all they’re gonna offer you are thinly-sliced “see-through” fish over a huge clump of rice. Whenever you take a bite, you taste the rice, and almost nothing of the fish. We went there last night. We only ate the fish on the nigiris they served us because every time we took a bite, we could only taste the rice. Funny enough, why didn’t I just order bowls and bowls of rice then? After we ate, we were told that we should eat the rice as well otherwise they will charge us extra next time. I understand, considering how much left-over rice we had. First of all, I cannot really take a bite of that so-called “nigiri” that tastes just like rice because I didn’t go there for the rice.

I’m quite disappointed because their hot food tastes so much better than other places, that’s why I still gave 2 stars for the food. We love their motoyaki and la galbi. I just feel like they’d rather compromise on food quality, than the price. What they don’t know is that there are some people like me who don’t mind paying a little bit more, for some real sushi and better quality food.

Everytime we’ve come, they’re always missing a part of our order. Most of it, are the sashimi. Business tactic? That’s quite unfortunate, because it’s likely working against them. If there were any other All You Can Eat sushi places here in Abbotsford, I won’t come back here anymore. Just hoping our next visit will be better, but I still don’t want to get my hopes up.
