Besides the wait which was expected, everything was pretty good. I was in a group of 9 and they were able to accommodate us. The waitress was absolutely wonderful and helpful in every way. The food was delicious.. highly recommend their amazing biscuits! The chicken was a bit on the bland side in my opinion but I would order again.

I hadn’t been to the Midnight Diner since they had moved to their current location. But rest assured, the nostalgic ambiance, food, and service had not lost one single iota of it’s previous eclectic charm.
We were seated almost immediately and after a short period of time, one of the waitstaff came to the table to check on us. Her name was Kayla, who was also the manager. Very engaging, extremely personable, and sharp, with a quick wit.
The food was plentiful and fantastic. I am a disabled veteran, and everything is handicap accessible, throughout.
From the tin-stamped ceiling squares, to the comfortably padded booth seating, music playing, multiple TV’s, and framed gold records on the walls, it was truly a memorable experience.
If you’re anywhere near downtown, or not, it’s truly worth the drive as a destination for some really good food and the engaging, and personable staff members.

Beautiful place to enjoy a wonderful meal with the taste of southern flavor and hospitality. Amber a great waitress. Friendly customers. Parking was nice next to the restaurant ( free parking, must be included in the prices of the meals, that’s acceptable on a 32 degree night). Clean and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent meals. Large portions. Tasted clean and fresh. The best orange juice I ever had. Really enjoyed my visit here.

Everything was great, I have no complaints. Usually restaurant mac and cheese isn’t good, but this one was great. I love sides and had the mac and cheese and collard greens, and both were really good.
My steak was good too. The restaurant was very clean inside, which really stood out.
The staff was friendly and sweet. My server John was very nice, very attentive, and gave his best recommendations. Marcus, the host, got us seated and did a great job. He even came back through to do table touches, which I appreciated.
Don’t think about it, just pull up.
Update: Later the same evening, around 9:05 PM, I ate food I had ordered to go earlier. I had a Philly with a side of collard greens. As I was finishing the greens, I noticed a hair in them. My hair is pink. I warmed the greens up, put hot sauce and devoured them. Unfortunately, I had already eaten them by the time I saw it. It was disappointing which is why I won’t be returning.

Food was good! Only issue i had was the fried hash browns. They looks and taste like they have them sitting in water before cooking them. No seasoning/flavor at all. Also letting them cook in the middle-it was like they let them sit on the skillet cooked on high but did not flip them at all to cook in the middle so they taste wet and uncooked. I also would like to have options for how they are chopped. Cubed or shredded.

But the food.. it’s a different story. My daughter got the Fish and Shrimp w/ fried. I got 10 CT wings/ fries. My daughter enjoyed her S&F but didn’t care for the fries.I was so disappointed with my meal (10ct Garlic Teriyaki wings)$$
The wings tasted like they were poured out of a bag, maybe washed, and if so, barely. Dipped in oil, sprayed with some watered down Teriyaki glaze and the garlic skipped completely. I was asked what kind of sauce i wanted, I asked for ranch but got…. well I’m not sure what it was that i got.
If I ever go there again it will only be for the Chocolate Cake, which was very good. I didn’t much care for the fries either.

Visiting Charlotte for work trip. Stopped by for lunch and got chicken tenders and fries with honey mustard. I’ll be dreaming about them they were so good!!! The tenders were crispy and full of flavor! I can’t get anything like this where I’m from.

Went here Sunday a little after 8:30 pm for dinner. No wait time and immediately had our orders taken upon sitting down. Staff were all friendly. Loved the retro decor and setup inside.
Couldn’t decide between the Spaghetti dinner or Steak, but ultimately chose the New York strip steak (9/10), cooked how I asked and seasoned pretty well. For my sides I got Broccoli and Mac and cheese they were both decent.
Def see myself returning, I enjoyed my meal and the overall atmosphere.
My overall rate of experience : 8.5/10
