Great atmosphere and seating areas. Coffee was fresh and delicious as well as the pastries. They had gluten free options and my sister said the GF muffin was tasty.

A nice little coffee shop bit pricey for what you get and for the area. Over 8 dollars for a dirt chai.

Midnight coffee is without a doubt the best coffee I’ve ever had. I’ve been frequenting coffee shops since college and at this point I can’t even go into another shop, I will go out of my way to plan my day around a stop to Midnight! On top of that the staff is incredible— friendly, responsive and truly the “neighborhood” feel.

The coffee is so acidic that I could not finish my macchiato last time I got a coffee from here. I like the natural light, but today I went there to study and I was standing in line to order and the person at the register decided to help the person after me first, just walked out and went to Prairie lights instead. This place is convenient for how close it is to where I live but for bad coffee and bad service I would rather walk to Prairie Lights instead.

My favorite coffee shop in Iowa City! They make my coffee so perfect and consistent everytime! I haven’t had their matcha or energy drinks but my number 1 pick for coffee!

I love the amount of natural light – it doesn’t feel like I am in a cave like some other coffee spots. Gets insanely busy during the school year (which is expected) so unless you get there early, don’t expect to find too many seats. My only complaint are the ever present house flies. This place can definitely benefit from some bait traps and fly paper.

Employees are usually helpful and friendly, but there are a few that are unpersonable at the register. A little unwelcoming. Good otherwise.
Drinks can be reasonably priced if you completely avoid add-ons, but the food prices are just too much to ask based on their quality. I’d rather stay home at that point.
The place looks completely soulless and utterly commercial now with the new remodel, all except for the nice mural by a local artist. The cozy fireplace and wooden tables were better. Games are a nice touch, but not enough to give the place the coziness it once had. Impossible to study in a place that has so little warmth anymore.
Also, has a Shen Yun poster hung up- just so everyone is aware, this is advertising for a cult that perveys extreme alt-right propaganda via dance performances; this propoganda is circulated by China. Not a great look, would suggest taking that down.
Current owner is also a Musk enthusiast. Terrible look based on current events. Will not be giving this place my business again. Vote with your dollars, people.

Went one morning, wednesday 0730, with a coworker to experience the pour over french style coffee. Since school is out for awhile the shop was quiet and inviting to sit and enjoy a quality cup of coffee. I chose to drink the pour over cream bean, not on the downloadable menu, with a shot of expresso. The chocolate chip cookie purchased assisted in offsetting the bitterness of the coffee. The store is more than a coffee shot and has a robust menu of teas, beers, food, wines and much more. The taste is better than any chain coffee shop I have been too. You get what you pay for and I spent around $7 for my morning. One 16oz cup kept me going for hours, very strong. Friendly service and staff, and I would revisit and try another flavor any day of the week!

I used to love going here but after they took away their lunch special, happy hour, and rewards system I don’t see myself going back 🙁
