Great food, great craft beers, great atmosphere and friendly, attentive servers! We were on a day long road trip and looked in our HOP Passport Book to find a brewery to eat at. So glad we found Midland Brewing! We arrived between lunch and dinner (the reason there are so many empty seats in the pictures) which was great because we got to take in the whole atmosphere. Our server, Klaudia, was wonderful, very friendly and helpful with our selections. We tried several craft beers, all of which were so good it made it difficult to choose! The smoked meatloaf was delicious, an absolute must try! We were there on a Wednesday, which is their wing and pitcher of beer special, which includes several of their craft beers at a great price. We were set on trying the meatloaf so we will definitely be going back on a Wednesday. We visit many breweries throughout Michigan with our HOP Passport Book and Midland is definitely at the top of our favorites list!

The staff is super quick and extremely nice.
The look is inviting and relaxing, light wood and stone with a copper ceiling. Huge bar on one side, low-tops with benches opposing it and lots of high-top and low-top tables in between. Those in wheelchairs or with walkers/crutches might have some problems getting through the tables, they are a bit too close together. Need to stick to the periphery near the bar to get beyond the first tables.
Music was good but occasionally too loud for such a wide-open space.
Ordered a flight – of four – to go with my fish & chips.
The fish is among the best I’ve had. The batter has good flavor and is not just a calorie-enhancing breading. If you put anything on the fries, you are doing yourself a disservice. I’d cut back the salt a touch but beyond that they are perfect. Light, crispy, flavorful. Worth the $19.
Even the coleslaw, often an afterthought in this situation, is delicious.
The beer is solid, too. Ranging from a California Common to a Stout to a Milkshake IPA (such a great style).

Usually we have a great experience with both the service and food here. Tonight when we only ordered appetizers and drinks instead of a meal or the daily deal. Our service changed significantly we had over a thirty minute lapse between our server checking on us. We ended up actually ordering food from another place to pick up on the way home because we were worried about the time it would take to get served. It’s disappointing because we love this place. We left a good tip and are hoping this was a one off situation.

Not the best experience last night. Bar drinks were great. Ribs, Smoked Meatloaf and Pulled Pork Pork were also great. However, two people in my party ordered fried Halibut Fish dinner. They came out burned. We said something to the waitress and she told us “That is how it always looks, its the type of batter we use.” The batter was not just very dark brown, but parts were black. The fish inside tasted OK, but the fried batter tasted and smelled burned. Vegetarian Burgers were musy, but guests did not complain until I asked why they didn’teat them. We received no help from the waitress and no discount or offer for new fish. I spent about $300 so a few replacment pieces of fish would have been nice. It was steady with customers, but not super busy with open tables. I still left a heafty tip hoping it was just an off night for everybody.

Really cool atmosphere, if you like beers this is your place!! Lots and lots of different flavors and options. I’m personally not a drinker, more of a eater…and they hit the mark. Sundays have breakfast options-the banana waffle 5 stars!

A great brewery with good food in Midland.
We stopped for dinner on the way home from up north. We had passed Midland Brewing Company once before when in Midland and decided to check it out this time.
The atmosphere inside is really nice, they have a nice bar.
The patio outside is really nice. It has plenty of shade and is open on the sides.
The service was OK. The hostess was nice. Both servers were nice but I say BOTH because half way through dinner our server swapped without any explanation. If something came up I totally understand, but I feel a soft handoff in that situation would be appropriate. Also someone came by before our food came out and asked us if we were done with our beers and sort of leaned in as if to take them. Super odd, as we’re just sitting outside enjoying our beers while waiting for dinner to come out.
The beers were all really good. We especially enjoyed the sour. The food was also good. We had the sweet potato tots and brussel sprouts to start and they were both great.
We split the pulled pork nachos and they were good. I love that they used that fake processed nacho cheese. Hits me right in the childhood.
Overall we had a good time, just a few bazaar hiccups. Still would recommend.

Always love a dinner and drink at Midland Brewing Company! Their jalepeno popper burger is the best burger in Midland! Their atmosphere is warm and inviting, plus their outdoor seating in the summer is a roaring time!
