Midland Bistro takes pride in its quaint atmosphere and warm hospitality. We put a big emphasis on supporting local – our fresh bread is baked in nearby Aberdeen, the same town where our coffee is roasted. We love to utilize local produce as much as possible.

Breakfast sandwich on a croissant, I didnt even believe it was a croissant with how flat it was. Egg didnt even cover the sandwich and very little bacon. Potatoes had rosemary which was nice but they seemed like they had been reheated. Never got a refill on my drink or did I see the waitress but only to get my order. Never was checked on by staff. Left disappointed.

Nice spot when you’re in the Pinehurst area to grab breakfast. My wife had the quiche of which they had an assortment to choose. She enjoyed that , while I had a standard eggs over easy ,bacon , 1/2 waffle. It was good. The bacon was thin and crispy if that’s what you prefer. Eggs were done perfect. Atmosphere is quaint. We sat in a smaller section that was quieter than the main area which was busy. Great stop though with excellent service.
They also have mimosas on the menu.

If you’re anywhere near Southern Pines and haven’t been to Midland Bistro yet, you’re seriously missing out. Let me just say this: the food is fantastic. Like, unbelievably good. Every bite feels like it was made with purpose and passion, and I cannot express this enough—the food is fantastic. Whether you’re grabbing brunch, lunch, or just treating yourself, the flavors are on point and the presentation is top-notch.

The owner Mike is an amazing guy and he’s put alot into this place and it shows! Oh and the best part.. he supports local! There’s a little shop in the entrance that has so many local products (also amazing btw) and even a large portion of his ingredients are local!

10/10 will eat here again!

A unique, casual but comfy place to grab a bite. They have a simple menu with rotating specials and the setting is adjoined to a paint and ceramic studio. Eclectic artwork surrounds the interior where you can find an arrangement of small round tables for gathering. The mimosa pitcher was a highlight in addition to the crab cakes benedict and blue plate special.

Was out for errands, wanted to try Midland! A very Charming Bistro, Beautiful Artwork! Very nice Staff and Servers! Was very hungry, I missed Breakfast! So I ordered their Bacon& Spinach Quiche, with a side salad for $12 from very nice Lunch Menu! The Bacon Quiche was fluffy and very good tasting! Midland Bistro also serves a Sunday Brunch, not sure of times, need to call! So “I’ll be Back”!

Our inaugural experience at Midland Bistro left us with mixed feelings and little desire for a swift return. As newcomers to the area, we’ve been eagerly exploring the local dining scene, but unfortunately, our initial encounter with this establishment didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Opting for the crab cake benedict with bacon, we were met with a dish that, while undeniably delicious, fell short in terms of portion size and value. The bacon garnish, which was advertised as a key component of the dish, was disappointingly meager, resembling more of a token sliver than a substantial accompaniment. At $20 for what was purportedly a “full order,” our expectations were regrettably unmet.

While the food itself boasted flavors worthy of commendation, the overall dining experience failed to leave a lasting impression. Service was adequate, if unremarkable, with no notable highlights to speak of. In hindsight, we found ourselves questioning the glowing reviews that had drawn us to Midland Bistro in the first place, as our own encounter lacked the wow factor that we had anticipated.

Ultimately, our visit left us feeling underwhelmed and somewhat perplexed by the widespread acclaim. While there’s no denying the culinary prowess showcased by the kitchen, the lackluster execution in certain aspects left us hesitant to rush back anytime soon. For now, we’ll continue our quest to uncover the gems of the local dining scene, hoping to stumble upon that elusive wow factor elsewhere.

Based on reviews, we went and left disappointed. We waited nearly an hour after ordering for a slice of quiche and a breakfast sandwich. The quiche was good, but the breakfast sandwich was lacking. The sausage was a single thin piece of what seemed to be frozen breakfast sausage. The servers claimed that everyone arrived at once and did not seem apologetic for the wait times for food to arrive. Will probably not be going back.

The food was good. Staff were attentive and polite. The bistro itself was clean and welcoming. However, it is a little tight when sitting down at some tables. The chef came out to personally ask if it was okay to make a change to an order due to a lack of ingredients. Overall, it was a nice place for a quick bite.

Food was the best. Waitress was very sweet and kind. The atmosphere very homey. all the food is locally sourced.

One recommendation instead of canned sodas I would get a fountain machine. Because one the canned soda the customer may not finish and you waste half a can of soda.

Rather enjoyed my breakfast this morning! The “build your own” breakfast sandwich on a croissant was delish, and my nephew very much so enjoyed the thin crispy bacon and thick toast. The lady who served us was attentive and sweet. Homey décor and plenty of space if you need a place to make a reservation at for a larger party.
