We were heading south and non-locals. By a chance, we came across this very restaurant. Such a beautifully decorated Southern place with a fireplace, and lovely with live music. What made it even more amazing was the people who ran it from the matreede to manager to server Kaylee. The food was delicious. The salmon was cooked just right (not overcooked) and the filet mignon was great. The bread and with real butter was delicious; same with the cheese and chip dip. This is absolutely the best restaurant in all of NC. The staff’s Southern hospitality was absolutely amazing and I absolutely recommend.

We have had dinner at Middleburg Steak House twice within the last couple weeks and it was delicious. The homemade Mozzarella sticks were to die for. The filet was cooked to perfection. The salmon was delicious. We sat upstairs and Lindsay the bartender provided us with excellent service. Christian the manager came over and checked on us as well. He was very nice and wanted to make sure we were enjoying our dinner. Middleburg has always been decorated so pretty and still is. Cannot wait to go back . Please support our nice local restaurant Middleburg Steak House. You will enjoy it ! I promise !

Charming setting with amazing hospitality and food obviously prepared with love. We had a rib eye that was grilled to perfection and a pair of pork chops to write home about. If you don’t get the Mac and cheese, sorry you’re missing out. You must leave room however, I bet you haven’t had a strawberry cake as good as the one they have here.

We had confirmed reservations for 7:45pm, with a text message from the restaurant clearly stating that time. When we arrived, the host tried to tell us our reservation was actually for 6:30. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, we were told we’d have to wait 30 minutes for a table.
Thirty minutes turned into over 45, and when we went back to check in, the host hadn’t even written our names down. She told us it would be “five more minutes.” After waiting an additional hour, we asked again why we still didn’t have a table, and the owner cussed us out instead of apologizing or offering any explanation. As we saw him actively going to the bar and taking shots.
On Valentine’s Day, of all nights, this was completely unacceptable. Disorganized, unprofessional, and downright rude. We will never be coming back, and I definitely don’t recommend making plans here if you expect your reservation to actually matter.

I would give this place 6 stars if it were possible. We stopped here by chance on our way from Raleigh to Richmond, and this was a fantastic choice. Probably one of the best steaks he had for a long time.

This was a vacation birthday dinner. My family had a table for 10, and had a fantastic time! We’re sorry it took us so long to try this local favorite. I had a ribeye, medium. My first bites were just the steak—no steak sauce. It was a good quality steak, not over seasoned, and cooked to the right temperature. What made it great was the steak was good quality meat, and it was cooked very well. The live band was fun to listen to in the background, and they did some great covers of some country and rock standards.
Kaylee, our server, was amazingly conscientious and very skilled in ways that really enhanced our meal. It really was a pleasure to have her coordinate our meal. Kaylee, thank you.
Definitely will go back, especially for what folks say is a great brunch. This is an unpretentious, homey spot in the middle of our little patch of rural NC.

Middleburg Steakhouse is absolutely amazing! From the drinks, the appetizers, to the dinner, everything was to die for! Our server was quick, kind, funny, and engaging. We could hear others talking with customers and it was clear they knew their regulars and cared. Decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was cozy and warm, making the place very inviting. It felt more like we had gone from a date night dinner to eating at a family gathering. 10/10 will be returning soon!

We took our friends there to celebrate both our Birthdays, because I bragged about the food. I usually get beef tips,this time they were over cooked. Her chicken parmesan was over cooked as well and late to the table. I’m sure it was just a bad day in the kitchen but at any price it’s just a disappointment and I was embarrassed for our new lake friends Dinner was less than $200 our table. Service was great. Free dessert – Great! Drinks Great!
