They deserve zero stars due to the bs I experienced. Firstly they would not allow me to look at the crab before ordering them. Secondly after buying the crabs they WERE NOT WHAT I ORDERED! I had order medium size crabs for $38 a dozen and when I got home they were small. They were smaller than the regular size crabs, That they look like baby crabs, not only did they give me less than a DOZEN, I will never again be buying from here what’s so ever and I’d advise ya not to either. THERE WAS NO MEAT IN THE CRAB THEY WERE VERY HOLLOW AND THEY HAVE NOW CLAWS! If you want better crabs ether go to shoreline in crofton MD or the wharf in Washington DC and go to captain whites seafood to get your crabs.

My visit was during the COVID19 takeout only time frame, so I did not dine-in. The limited serve that I experienced was good. I informed the cashier that it was my 1st visit and asked for recommendations, which were provided. I purchased the croaker, whiting, and red snapper with 2 sides of yams. The yams were excellent by every account in my household (3 people). We all preferred different fish, but each tried them all. The croaker had a lot of bones, which is normal; the whiting only had 1 bone out of the 4 piece combined. The red snapped was my favorite. It was seasoned perfectly. It didn’t have many bones at all and had a close texture to chicken. I considered the portions to be generous and the food was well seasoned/cooked. Although I did not have a salad from the food counter, it looked extremely fresh. The salad had no browning on the vegetables at all, which is a big thing for me. I’m would give it 5 stars put didn’t through no fault of the restaurant. But because:

Prices went up and the portion size went down. Was charged $14 for two very small salmon cakes that was the size of a sausage patty. I used to frequent this place but after today experience…. Im done. Just simply not worth the money.

sep 12th I bought 2 dozen of the NASTIEST crabs that I’ve ever tasted in my life. The crabs were OLD and they heated them up to pass them off as fresh. A real crab eater knows OLD crabs when they see and smell them. I felt entirely RIPPED off by this place and I will NEVER go there again. HORRIBLE!!!!

So far I love the music they play inside its light gospel music and I always glad to hear this kind of music at a business where young children are allowed. The food is overall good especially the croaker and catfish. The man behind the counter is great and the two women that have served me were nice also. I recommend trying out at least twice if you like fried fish. Oh and the collard greens are decent which to me is a plus by it being cooked in MD. Can’t touch my mom or grandma’s but that’s normal right.

First time trying this place. The fried catfish was good but not whole pieces of fish. The coleslaw was the worst I ever had. I could not eat it! Too much mayo and couldn’t taste any cabbage or carrots because they were little chopped bits of vegetables! They also have a hot food bar. Friend had turkey wings and mashed potatoes and green beans. Turkey wings were greasy. Mashed potatoes tasted like they had sugar in them. and green beans were like they just dumped from can and served! Maybe they are known for their steamed crabs, but I won’t be returning to find out. The yams were okay.

I had the spicy Roman noodles. It was great!!! Plus some steamed seasoned shrimp it was a little hard to peel it’s was delicious. Will definitely eat there again.

This place has various locations and I’ve tried others but none are as good as this in my personal opinion. I also enjoy the fact that it’s one of few establishments that play gospel music in the background instead of ratchet or trap music. Which is probably the reason the people who work there are so pleasant. As long as things remain the same, I’ll increase the rating to the 5th star.
