I asked for fish, when I got in I had to go up to ask if it was sausage. Owner assured me it was beef. I went in wearing a hijab so was seeking something Halal . Usually I love Mickey’s, however my most recent visit I enjoyed my bowl day 1 and I just warmed it up for lunch at work and found this pretty large piece of chicken bone in my bowl. Im afraid to eat the rest of my bowl incase there is more pieces I may miss I hate to waste food but for my own safety I have to toss the rest of this one.

Travelling from Wisconsin to North Carolina, we saw a sign on the interstate, were intrigued by the name, and decided it was a good time to stop for lunch. We should have paid attention to the name, and shared a burrito! They were indeed massive as well as super good.
The young woman behind the counter was friendly and courteous.

I am new to the area and had been wanting to try this place out. When i went in i was greeted as the person took their iced tea bottle and drank from it at the same time. No big deal, some people just dont know any better. But as i walked up, i was able to see the beans and other toppings behind the counter. The beans looked horribly dried out and pealing off of the sides of the container and were discolored and old looking. The steak did look okay, but after seeing what the beans and a couple of other toppings looked like, i was freaked out. Thankfully, when i told the server my order, he said he needed to go to the back for some reason, so i was able to leave without having to say anything. I dont like confrontation, and was internally panicking because i did not want to get anything but did not want to speak up. My one thought was, if the food up where people can see it looks that bad, what is the condition of everything else? I really wanted to try this out because their facebook posts look pretty good, but i dont know if i will give another shot sometime, or not.

The big guy with the underwhelming facial hair and glasses was very rude. I saw him yell at a customer. This was my 1st time trying mickeys, it smelled good. When I walked to the counter all the food was uncovered and looked dry. I also saw flies in it. He stuck his bare hands in a bag of chips to search for cheese. A younger guy came from the kitchen, didn’t wash his hands and made the next people food. By the time I got to the register I was done. Not sure if it was the bathroom or what? But it smelled like cat litter. So if you want old, dry, cross contaminated food go here. The other places are better. Even taco hell. I will tell anyone who asks to never go here. Be better to customers. Care about what you are feeding your community.

Have you ever heard the story about a hole in the wall. Meet the no frill on the outside gem. Deep fried taco. (That I can find no where in Florida!) Was my reason for going. It was worth it. I also got the chicken soft taco that was massive, lol. And the street taco that was 10/10. The watermelon water aka aqua fresca was perfect!! I almost got one to go. Pepsi products. As for my cherry Pepsi fans this is jackpot!!!

The burrito was actually very good not that I expected it I’m just a little picky when it comes to my burritos with the meat quality portions and options Unfortunately they didn’t have sauteed onions pour mushrooms but besides that it was fairly good I went ahead and ate mine and then I went back in to buy another one for lunch tomorrow The Big Burrito or giant burrito I think ran me $13 and some change which is not bad for the size

Great food and professional staff. The owner was present and had a friendly conversation. Giving it that comfortable mom n pop feel rather than a fast food chain. Definitely would recommend.

We actually tried the burritos for the first time at the Illinois State fair last weekend. We stopped again tonight, to get another because they are so delicious. The staff was kind and friendly and helpful and interactive. We will for sure make the two hour drive to eat at the restaurant sometime in the near future. Highly recommend.!!!
