the cashier with curly hair and black glasses looked me up and down and said ‘omg he’s so black’ to coworkers while taking my order. The service was rude throughout. This made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Definitely not coming back, manager should hire people that are more professional.

This is my review of Michoacana Mia Oceanside.
With a history that goes back to more than 40 years of tradition, this Icecream Shop serves MORE than just icecream.
They have a wide variety of flavors to please any sweet-tooth desire!
Michoacana Mia Oceanside is located on Mission Avenue in the Walmart shopping plaza. This is the perfect location for them because there are plenty of food options surrounding them, and there is also a high school across the street
Although they are tucked away in the corner, this location will hopefully supply them with patron customers with the student body.
Their interior is very bright and colorful and done in the style of Mexican cultural aesthetics.
One small downside is that it is very slender and small in design, which can be a disadvantage when it gets crowded.
But if you like ice cream or sweet treats, this is definitely a destination to check out.
From savory super-sweet, to fruity, coffee-based, to sorbets, to creamy, to spicy, Michoacana Mia has something for EVERYONE!!
What impresses me the most is that even with it gets crowded with a line of customers heading out the door, the staff were still friendly, calm, fast and efficient!!
Their menu is INSANE!!
They’ve got something to satisfy every palette!
But I can’t express how amped up I am to try all the plethora of flavor combinations that are available!!
Come experience a NEW type of dessert today at Michoacana Mia Oceanside!!

What a treat! Place is clean and staff members are very friendly. Went to try out for the first time and our orders were very delicious. We had Mangonadas, Horchata and an order of chicharron preparado. Very good place for ice cream and other treats.

I think it is a new concept in San Diego County. something different from other places and other michoacanas. The first time I visited a Michoacana Plus was in the Los Angeles area. everything was delicious, prices are a bit high, but if you want something good the price is reasonable. Hopefully soon they give us lids for the cups and it will be easier to carry. The only thing I did not like very much was the tostilocos, the fruit was very very very small and not I really like the flavor. everything else very delicious. I recommend this place, all the team very friendly and excellent service. I’m far away, but I’ll be back soon.

After waiting a year to make it to Oceanside, I finally tried La Michoacana. YUM! With bright decor and friendly staff, this place knows popsicles (paletas) and ice cream providing a ginormous selection of colors and flavors. All only blocks from the beach. The only thing I wish they offered was a cooler bag so I could have loaded up on treats.
This place is great. I can’t wait to go back!

Such a vibrant shop with upbeat music. Lots of options for ice cream and snacks. I wish the menu was displayed in a different way at the shop to show prices and options. Staff was super friendly and quick. Restroom available and booths for sitting. The fresas con crema was perfect.

This was my first time having this kind of dessert, the guy really gave me a big as scoop of ice cream haha it was so nice of him. I already forgot what this was called. But it was $8.95, pretty good. I do wish they had a better menu for us to look at to see prices and descriptions and stuff. Besides that, the environment and all was friendly, nice, and clean ! Would recommend !!

This place is usually great ! Everything is always so delicious. I’m a little disappointed this time with the fact that the service wasn’t that great and one of the workers had a cat that she was carrying in and out of the kitchen and I’m all for cute pets but NOT in a food establishment! Gave me the ick and im highly allergic to cats . Y’all need to be more mindful of people . It’s just super inappropriate . These workers need to be more supervised especially cus they look like minors .
