Mexican cuisine is ranked among the world’s top five, and with that same standard, we brought the best Mexican ice cream and snacks to Northwest Arkansas. That’s why we acquired the franchise Michoacana Es Natural, crafting handmade ice cream since 1940, and known in the U.S. as Michoacana Ice Cream Shop. In November 2025, we launched our own app for easy ordering, curbside pickup, and rewards. To elevate our menu, we trained in Paris at Caramel Sarrasin to offer authentic Paris-style crepes, and in Rome at Gelateria del Teatro, Italy’s top natural gelateria. Premium gelato is coming soon to NWA. We were selected by NWArkansas Travel Guide as a Top 10 place to visit and named Best Ice Cream Shop in NWA by Google’s National Business Rate.

La Michoacana Ice Cream Shop @michoacananwa is bringing straight up Mexican flavor magic to Northwest Arkansas. Every scoop and paleta (handmade popsicles) is packed with bold handmade goodness using traditional recipes and real ingredients you can taste from the first bite.
My faves are the Rum Raisin Ice Cream and the Pine Nut Ice Cream. Both so on point they should come with a warning label. Smooth rich perfectly balanced and straight comfort with a little swagger. The kind of flavors that remind you why simple done right always wins
And the flautas? Crunchy golden perfection. Rolled corn tortillas, juicy chicken, loaded with Mexican seasoning. These things are dangerous.
Think juicy mango coconut so creamy it should be illegal, lime that snaps with freshness and wild flavors like Nutella pistachio cajeta and yes even tequila vibes for the adventurous.
If you are not crushing a mangonada did you even visit?
And the Dubai strawberries are a full main character moment dripping in chocolate and loaded with toppings.
Banana splits go hard. Add in rolled tacos and burgers and suddenly dessert turned into a whole experience.
Open since 2018 this spot is a certified local favorite whether you are chilling inside grabbing it to go or getting it dropped at your door. One scoop turns into three. No regrets.

I got a diablito loco and my daughter got a chamango. They were both amazing. This place makes all the popsicles in house and I can’t wait to try them all along with many other things that were on the menu. Definitely going to stop back in and try more authentic flavors!

This place is too good for ice-cream. They have lot of flavors. We wanted a kind of Sundae ice cream- which was not a part of their everyday menu. Home made, authentic ice cream from down south. I don’t mean a southern state, I mean south of the border. I am so glad we didn’t opt for coldstone or DQ! I had a pistachio and cojita cheese milkshake.. I don’t really know how to explain how good this shake was because it was so unique, but I will try. The pistachio ice cream was the best I have ever had and the cojita cheese ice cream complement made thus shake just unreal. It was beautiful. I didn’t want it to end! We are just passing through NWA and my kids are actually talking about moving here… Yes, it was just that good. Great job folks! Thank you!
