Drove all the way here from Santa Rosa, and this place did not disappoint! The place is small and cozy, and the atmosphere is very nice! Our waiter Andrew was great, and the owner greeted me and my family at the end of our meal, she was very sweet! Everything tasted extremely fresh, and the sushi is just on a whole other level from anything we have in Santa Rosa. Will be recommending this spot to family and friends

Amazing, authentic japanese food! The fish quality is great and the sushi rice is done perfectly. Omakase is the way to go! The hamachi kama was also delicious.

We had the pleasure of dining here last night and it was off the charts amazing. We selected the 6 course menu and we were amazed by every course. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommended this place to locals and visitors. Off the beaten path but worth the trip. Thanks Andrew and most importantly, thanks Chef Michiyo. You are brilliant!

Absolutely blown away by this spot! The fish is incredibly fresh—some of the best sushi I’ve had without the high-end price tag. Everything tasted authentic, from the perfectly seasoned rice to the flavorful hot dishes. Service by Andrew was friendly, fast, and attentive without being overbearing. Great value, great food, and a welcoming vibe. This is a hidden gem for anyone who loves real Japanese cuisine!

Divine!!!! As a local, I say to stop by here! I stopped in the the lunch roll + miso soup special and I was so pleased. Ms. Hagio is a fantastic chef. The ambiance is peaceful, and the wait staff was very welcoming. The prices are so reasonable for the quality of food you get, so please make sure to stop by!

Best sushi in Napa! After living in San Francisco, we were spoiled with incredible sushi and struggled to find anything in Napa that came close. Happy to report that Michi exceeded our expectations, we finally found a spot that lives up to what we’d been used to (and beyond).
The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but once inside it grows on you with views of hilly vineyards and an authentic, and intimate feel. The chef is incredible and meticulous about both presentation and taste.
We opted for the omakase, which we highly recommend (as long as you’re not in a rush). The black cod was definitely a highlight and well worth the wait. We’ll definitely be back.

By far the best sushi in the Northbay, we are so lucky to have Michiyo Hagio in Napa. Fish is always fresh, the quality is outstanding and the service couldn’t be better. The location is weird; she’d do much better downtown or a little north but well worth the drive. Only place that we eat sushi.

With the atmosphere, they do the best they can being a former subway sandwich shop. The view to the hills is pretty nice.
Maybe a total of 16 seats
Small area

The today sake was wonderful, crisp mild with a melon undertone as the waiter described

I was excited to try the new location. We had heard good things but was very disappointed when we left. It was a Monday night and there was only 1 other table. I remember the food at the location downtown and this was not that. The edamame was not grilled as stated on the menu, it was torched and overly salty. The crab and cucumber salad was dry. The rolls were mostly rice and only 5 pieces. I asked about the vegetable dish and what the vegetables were and the waitress told me she didn’t know and would have to ask and she never did. We were offered the $98 tasting menu not the $29 restaurant week offer that was advertised online. As a local that dines out alot this is sad. Will not be returning.

A staff member recommended this restaurant while wine tasting at Joseph Phelps. You should know it is a good food when a local person recommends a place to eat. To start off, the ambiance is amazing. However, the food was even better. The quality of the ingredients is something I never tried before. Everything was so unique and superb. I do not write reviews, but I had to write one for this place because it was good. All the reviews that said that food took some time make me think, what company are you in when you can’t entertain conversation for a couple of hours while waiting on the food? The owner also introduced herself to us. What an incredible lady! Next time you are in, please do yourself a favor, see if she is working, and hear her story. Definitely, we’ll be back just for this restaurant.
