Michael’s on the river is family owned business we just had our 20-year anniversary. Great local Restaurant/Tavern with an enjoyable atmosphere great food and friendly staff. We have a dining room side and a bar side with a full menu. Without the support of the residents of Flat Rock and surrounding communities and our wonderful employees it would not have been possible.

Awesome place to eat and get drinks in Flat Rock! All the food that we got was delicious. Beer was cold. Service was very attentive and friendly. All at very reasonable prices. For food recommendations, any beer battered deep fried dish here is top notch. Really liked their onion rings and prime rib wrap.

We stopped in for a late lunch and it was fantastic! Friendly staff, our waitress (Makalya sp?) was awesome, explained the specials, answered our questions about the menu and made some spot on suggestions! We had some homemade guacamole as an appetizer, I had the Botana and my wife got the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. The Fettuccine came with a robust dinner salad too. Great tasting food, good size portions and great service – the perfect trifecta! Can’t wait to go back again!

The food is very overpriced and the portions are less than adequate nearly 13 for a chicken wrap that does not come with fries, they charge you extra for everything and the service was spotty at best. Along with the run of the mill over the hill drunks, this is not a good place to go to if you’re looking for a nice quiet meal

A for Amazing!! Top notch team, great food, service, I played some Keno and we enjoyed ourselves. Attached are photos of the patty melt with waffle fries and the prime rib sliders with regular fries. We also ordered potato skins for an appetizer and no complaints! Food came out piping hot and mouth watering! Highly recommend! We came from Toledo so it was worth the drive!!

Need more servers in there. I went and it was only the bartender in there at 4:00pm on a Saturday. Waited a long while before our drink order was taken. The people behind us were way over served on alcohol slurring, cursing up a storm and so loud I couldn’t hear my husband next to me and they kept serving more buckets of beer. Next a family with 3 kids came in and eventually left cause no one ever even came to their table at all while their 3 children ran between 3 tables “playing” before they left. I was thinking to leave while I waited for a drink, I should have. The only reason I stayed was I felt bad cause I already ordered a Coca Cola and appetizer. The food was alright. Unfortunately we will not be back.

The combination of actually excellent food w/ extremely reasonable prices is next level here. If you’re in the area you should absolutely go to Michael’s, my 1st choice in Flatrock hands down.

Excellent place to have a meal, some beer or both. I like the burgers, but everything I’ve had is good and there is plenty to choose from. The place is easy to find; you can’t miss it.

I ordered the Ruben, I was completely happy with doing so. They nailed it and I could only finish one half, had the second half for dinner. My wife and dad had the steak which looked and tastes perfect.
