I’ve visited this restaurant several times over the years and always have a fantastic experience. The lake view and outdoor seating during the warmer months are simply breathtaking. The Friday night fish fry is a must-try, and the clam chowder is the best in the area!
Recently, I celebrated a birthday dinner here, and it was an absolute blast! We spent some time chatting with the owners and admiring their impressive village collection display in the front. Our server, Katie, was incredibly friendly, patient, and even took a few group photos for us.
Our group had a variety of dishes, including steak, lobster tail, chicken Marsala, and chicken tenders for the little one. Each dish was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. We also indulged in a couple of the seasonal drinks, which were very tasty.
Overall, it’s always a wonderful time at this restaurant — we can’t wait to return again soon!

Had not been to Michael’s in a long time. A friend of my husband’s had passed away and their family chose to come here after the military service in Union Grove. What a Great choice!!! Not only is the food amazing but the staff and the owner are so accommodating. Go, if for nothing else, just how a good restaurant should treat its customers. We need to keep places like this thriving. Beautiful scenery too with a lake view. Highly recommend the chicken marsala. Definitely a go to for us.

Yesterday, Saturday 1/31/26. Had reservations and arrived on time. We and another couple waited almost 15 minutes for someone to check us in. Already past our reservation time. Told it would be a few minutes. Fine, we went to the bar. Waited another 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Then another 5 minutes of them wiping down the bar. Finally takes our order, fill 3 other people’s order before they get to us.waiting another almost 30 minutes past our reservation time we are finally seated. Waitress, we had no issue with. Service: onion soup, no seasoning. Prime rib, no seasoning, I cut 2 pieces, chewed each then had to spit them out due to fibrous texture. We have been there previously with no issues. Not sure what is going on but I don’t know, for the price, if we will chance it again.

It was a very bopping super club with excellent food. The sirloin and prime rib were perfection on a plate along with the steamed veggies and potatoes both garlic mashed and baked. The carrot cake is a generous serving of delight and the grasshopper was very well made and despite my attempts, an ice cream headache was unavoidable and worth the moment of pain. Difficult to slow sip something so tasty. The only disappointment of the night was learning that Michael’s on the Lake has been around for 14 years and my husband and I just found out about this great place! We will definitely be making it a regular stop hopefully for several years to come.

It’s a supper club type atmosphere with a giant bar, the owner will let you know it’s not a stop and shop with loud people. I’ve been one.
I’ve also come back with my family, friends, and dating app dates and I agree with his standards. Fair, it’s a beautiful place with a good reputation.
Act right or he will buy your last drink politely, and I can appreciate that being on a lake.
The food is fantastic, the drinks are fantastic and the hospitality and service is amazing. Summertime on the lake tables is glorious. Winter time interior and decoration is spectacular as well.
The ambiance, service and professional ownership of a quality place locally, with reasonable prices and consistent menu options and a fabulous view has netted this review.

Gosh, no complaints about this place. First time visiting. Had the haddock on a Friday. Mine was fried, Mrs had baked, both good. Waiter was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable about all menu items. Thanks Jake. Will definitely be back.

I had a new york strip it was good but not excellent. A few appetizers all average, onion strings, mushrooms. We had the pizza which needed to be more crispy, chef would not add extra sauce to the pizza when asked.

Absolutely wonderful patio dinner with friends here. Servers were friendly and efficient. Our meals were very good, that sourdough bread was amazing! Deserts: lemon cake and carrot cake were soooo goood!!

My husband and I went to this amazing restaurant for the first time last night and are so impressed we are already planning our next visit. We started off with a wonderful old fashioned at the bar that was made perfectly!!! Michael, the owner was bartending and certainly makes everyone feel welcome!!! We requested a window seat overlooking Eagle Lake. Our waitress was Ann and she was a delight. Our meal started with a loaf of warm bread and whipped butter…in a word…AMAZING! I had the pork chop and my husband the ribs. We both agreed our meals were at the top of our list of dinners we have had in a restaurant. We both had salads to start…yummy homemade dressing. Meals are served with choice of potato and came with a wonderful carrot and bean blend. Not only a pop of color, but delicious. We decided to try their homemade carrot cake for dessert and it was phenomenal! We give this wonderful place a 10 plus plus! Our overall dining experience was one of the best we have had….we can’t wait for a return trip to Michael’s on The Lake!
