Informal bar & eatery with mountain views whipping up pizza & other traditional Italian dishes.

This is some of the best Italian we have had in a long time. My family all got something different and each item was great. We got the beef lasagna, pepperoni pizza, beef ziti, and spaghetti.
My only complaint is that they don’t let you split checks, so if you are eating with your friends, be prepared to buy everyone’s. They also don’t do reservations.

Michael’s Italian Restaurant in Breckenridge is such a gem! From the moment we sat down, the warm bread basket set the tone—fresh, soft, and perfectly seasoned with garlic and herbs. The crisp Caesar salad was a great starter, with just the right amount of dressing and a sprinkle of parmesan on top.
For the main course, I had the stuffed shells, and they were absolutely delicious—perfectly baked, hearty, and packed with flavor in every bite, with plenty of melty cheese and rich marinara. It felt like true comfort food done right.
The cozy red-checkered table setting adds to the authentic Italian vibe, and the service was warm and welcoming throughout the evening.
If you’re in Breckenridge and craving classic Italian comfort food in a relaxed, family-style atmosphere, Michael’s is a must!

Our experience was great. I have italian roots and make my own gravy and pastas from scratch at home. So consider that with my review. We started with the meatball sliders – outstanding meatball and gravy. I had the linguine and clams and my wife had the lasagne. She said it was definitely one of the better lasagnes she’s had. The linguine and clams come in a red sauce- think somewhere between a ragu and cioppino. The claims were overcooked but that is fairly common in a cioppino style dish. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the flavors. Only disappointment of the night was the side of garlic bread with the clams. We ate at the bar and our bartender Sean was outstanding. I enjoyed a nice Barbera and they also have Peroni on tap. I would definitely eat here again.

Best meal in Breck so far. We got the baked ziti and pesto tortellini. Affordable drinks too.

The best cheese ravioli with meat sauce we have ever had!
The lasagna was very good too.
The ingredients tasted fresh, from the pasta to the basil sprinkled on top.
I am 100% coming back next time I am in Colorado.

Our party (10 people) had a great time after a long day of snowboarding! Jessica our waitress was very kind & she was super attentive. We received our food really quickly for such a large party.
I was reading other reviews on here (specifically a one-star review with another party of 10), and I think they just lacked common sense because obviously it is a pain to accept 10 cards & it is much easier to split up within the party via Venmo/cash. Our waitress said she could accept up to 3 cards… which is totally reasonable for as large of a party as we had. 20% gratuity is added on (as it is most other places for larger parties) so again, totally reasonable.
Hopefully this 5 star cancels out that 1 star review for you because I think those people were just being a pain in the ass. Definitely come here!

For large portions and Italian favorites, this is the go-to spot in Breckenridge (although, they do not take reservations). I like it, but there are also cuter places with a more lively vibe on Main Street, and I’d consider this to be a bit “average.”
A group of 4 of us visited this fall, and the service went almost a little too fast – pasta delivered when we had barely touched our salads or starters, check being delivered before we were offered another drink, etc.

This place is amazing! One of my favorite dinners out I’ve had in awhile. Everything from the service to food was great. Nicely priced, as well. You must try the white lasagna (with crab, shrimp, and scallops) and tiramisu. The white lasagna is so unique and delicious. The tiramisu is just a nice classic creamy tiramisu. Our server was attentive and friendly; I don’t know his name, but he’s tall and had a ponytail. We will for sure be back next time we’re in town.

Brian was hands down the best employee Michael’s ever had. Every time we came in, he went above and beyond to help — whether it was finding the exact item we didn’t even know how to describe, offering creative ideas, or just making the whole shopping experience genuinely enjoyable. He had the rare gift of being knowledgeable, patient, and kind all at once.
it truly hasn’t felt the same without him. If Brian is no longer with Michael’s, they really lost someone special. Customers like us definitely feel it. Wherever he is now, we hope they know what an incredible person and employee they’ve got.

An absolute gem in Breck! The stuffed shells and meatballs were out of this world — total comfort food, done right. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, and the portions were generous. The cozy atmosphere made it feel like we were dining with family, and the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that sticks with you. A must-visit if you’re in town — we’re already planning to go back!
