Having been in California for several years, I’ve gotten used to good Mexican food. This restaurant was a reminder of how truly mediocre someone can make a burrito. While the service was nice, it doesn’t make up for the fact that the Char-Broil steak burrito was the physical manifestation of the concept of bland. I would say this food is of a quality you would expect in an overly large cafeteria rather than in a restaurant. It does the job if you’re starving but isn’t somewhere you want to go for a night out.

Another of those hole-in-the-wall restaurants, I can think of few places with the quality of food at such reasonable prices. Anything they make with blackened shrimp. Is especially good, again at a more-than-reasonable price. Located not too far from the Amtrack / Greyhound station, it’s well worth a visit.

Great little hole in the wall local spot! Small but cozy. Easy to miss (limited number of small tables)….but don’t! Huge tasty burritos are a meal alone (or meal and half). Nice selections. Very reasonable prices. Staff is always cheerful and efficient. Veggie burritos are faves of my whole family. Passing this place up for something more visually impressive would be a big mistake.

Appetizing is everything we find appealing, mouth-watering, delectable, savory, delicious, palatable, inviting, tantalizing, toothsome, luscious, tempting, tasty, enticing… all in this one plate of food! My first visit and definitely not my last!! Reasonably priced, friendly staff and cooks that make Michael’s Grill and Cantina feel as if you had a home cooked meal.

I have seen all 5 *s to this delicious and tiny spot in Salinas. It appears to be nothing changed much. We visited this place in 2017 Dec on our way to LA. Remember this taqueria and Salinas always. My original review

Wonderful chips and salsa. The avocado salsa is fantastic. We had the bean and cheese wet burrito, cheese enchilada, taquitos, and blackened chicken taco. It’s going to be one of our staples for great Mexican food.
