HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Came here to place order for chili dog and pizza puff. Asked for bbq sauce on my pizza puff they said extra cost, fine. Then proceeded to give me the order they preferred, sauce on side. I politely said thanks so much but I’d prefer refund. This IS THE RUDDIEST EMPLOYEE, then told me to come back tomorrow, to speak to manager. Mind you they have the food, I paid cash for, and reviewed my order before I left. You a lie! You charge me extra, and won’t make it the way I paid for it. You put it on the fries, but not against the pizza puff…what’s the difference ? And you charged me? Called police immediately. A shame

First time here. Very good food. Clean tables and restrooms. Not long of a wait for meals either. If you order something spicy be aware it will most certainly be spicy. Will definitely be going back soon!

This place is always clean and I’ve never had bad service. The beef is good, although my daughter and I prefer the burgers, I’ve built my own, had the jalapeño and overall always tasty. Fries are great. You’re not getting an Angus, but it’s definitely better than a culver’s.

We love Michael’s! The hot dogs and burgers are excellent, and the staff are super friendly! Big shout out to Gabriel who has gone out of his way to make me and my kiddo feel like regulars. Great spot!

WOAH! I came into this place very suspect of just the modern lame taco shop interior that must be a result of new management at some point. However, this beef was DIVINE, easily on par with Johnnie’s as someone who thought North Ave would simply be Johnnie’s stomping grounds.
This is every single aspect a beef should be perfected. Deeply spiced and just thicker than a sheet of paper. The bread choice is also perfect and held up to the sheer amount of juice, no problem, as well as carrying that juice flavor in every bite without adding off flavors. I’m sure toppings are great, but this skinny dipped beef alone places this as my new #1 knocking Johnnie’s (EP) down to 2nd. Being cheaper and taking card also helps.
That being said, i haven’t tried anything else here yet.
Parking can be funky due to North Ave and the way Oak Park Ave shifts.
Outdoor exterior and interior aren’t super cohesive in terms of visuals.
Interior is massive for its little parking lot.
Pleasant enough staff and CHEAP well, unless you want to add a fry because nothing comes with a fry and they plaster it all over the menu. Will be back for sure to try some variations and other items.

I generally would return to express the disappointment. I was frustrated after the first taste as there was an excessive amount of salt added all over our fries. I believe you should ask if you want salt added. The chicken tenders purchase was fried extremely hard. I also order a chicken Philly that had more green peppers then chicken on the sandwich. This place may only be good for a burger and beef. I wouldn’t suggest choosing beyond that. We tossed our meal away. Very displeased.

Horrible customer service. Owner seems to be a miserable person. Not just rude to us but customer after me. Someone said hey why dont you smile and his response said was I dont smile. So sad to be a buisness owner and be so rude. Cooks are nicer, he doesn’t even say greet customer. So sad will not be coming back only because of bad service.

One of the best of Italian Beef’s in the Chicagoland. You can see the beef being roasted. Giardinera is great. Fries are homemade style. Italian ice are good. Maxwell polish. Plenty of parking & lots of seating inside. Clean& accessible. Public bathroom on site. Exactly what you want from a beef/dog stand.

The fries are great and love the potato skin fires. The hot dog is just as simple nothing too special about it. The cheeseburger was good, just good. Will try the beef next time I go. A little pricey for the food, but it was an average experience.
