I visited this restaurant with a group of friends this evening. The food was satisfactory overall. We ordered the large cheese board, which had a limited cheese selection, and a flatbread that was well prepared and enjoyable. The cocktails were attractive and flavorful, clearly a highlight of the menu.
Unfortunately, the service fell well below expectations. Drink orders took an unusually long time to arrive, and multiple orders were incorrect. Throughout the evening, a bus boy?, was consistently unprofessional with major attitude and 0 knowledge of what he was serving. He spilled water on me without offering an apology and told our table we needed to leave because other guests were waiting; however. There was 0 communication about this prior to placing drink orders-Considering the price point, the level of service was EXTREMELY disappointing.
While the food and drinks showed potential, the service issues significantly impacted the overall experience.. we will not be coming back- and will certainly share our experience with friends and family. Go spend your money (lots of it) somewhere else!

Came here for the first time and I will definitely be back. The cocktails were so delicious and aesthetically pleasing! The whole place was a vibe. The bartender Kira was amazing and put such effort into the drinks she made us.

I walked in at 5:30 and asked for a table and all the tables were ready reserved so then I had to sit at the bar at my friends. Which was fine because we didn’t make a reservation although we stayed there until 7 and still none of those tables were ever filled from being “reserved.” Drinks tasted good, but $20 so not worth it! Definitely 1 and done.. When we got our food, we were mid bite and got asked to move over so another couple could sit at the bar next to one another. Meanwhile, the couple next to us said they were about to leave, after paying their check and she wanted to finish her glass of wine. Servers were impatient and told us to move yet none helped moving our waters, apps martinis, and dinner, down the bar. Happy I got to cross it off my bucket list. Will not be coming back

Creative and tasty seasonal drinks and great cheese boards. I would give this place five stars based on the food and drinks but unfortunately I found the music to be way too loud for a Sunday afternoon. I couldn’t even hear my husband who was right next to me. Due to the volume, we ate outside and the music was still loud, but at least we could hear eachother talk. Although I love 90s hip hop, I don’t think it’s appropriate to be playing loudly outside with very explicit language throughout every song. I was cringing as parents with small children walked by. Without prompting, the waiter did lower the music outside when he gave us our drinks as he probably realized how loud it was.

Very disappointing experience, especially for what’s meant to be a neighborhood wine bar.
We were seated at the bar and still finishing our drinks when we were abruptly handed the check and told they had a reservation. We had declined seconds, but we were not done with our current drinks and were essentially asked for our card so they could close us out. I’ve never experienced this anywhere—especially at bar seating. I didn’t even realize bar seats could be reserved.
What made it worse was the attitude. The person behind the bar was noticeably unfriendly and made the situation feel rushed and uncomfortable rather than polite or accommodating.
This experience fell far short of expectations, and I’ll definitely reconsider making Michelangelo’s a go-to local spot in the future.

Overall this is a pretty solid spot located right off the train in massapequa park. The food is very good id say, with the burrata, and flat breads being the best. The rice balls are also fire. Their dessert options are also very good.
As far as the wine goes, there decent, not a huge selection, and they serve there red wines at room temperature, not the ideal 55 degrees.
Service wise they are a bit slow and for a wine bar their servers have no clue about the wine their serving. The one bartender stated the malbec was from italy and the other could not describe the wine being served. Now this may sound small, but a wine bar should employee people that know wine.
Overall though a good spot to try out if your local and looking for something different.

Basing this on strictly their Sunday brunch. I’ll try to keep it short but trying to describe what it was. As soon as I opened the front door (which was covered with what seemed to be a heavy curtain from the inside to make it really dark) I was overwhelmed with…..let’s just say a lot of body heat. Had a reservation (which was not necessary) but no one was at the front door to seat us anyway. The place was deceivingly smaller from what you see on social media. They say you have 2 hours max at a table (they only have about 5) but no one’s sitting at any table. There were about 20 people or so (from what I could make out) and they seem to have been there from the beginning of brunch . Pretty much looks like a spot where local people from the area go and have their good time. Again after driving 40 minutes to get there, I walked in and walked right back out. I felt it was just misrepresented online.

very romantic, adorably decorated wine bar. That being said, the food is not enjoyable. The brie (bland) & crackers are store bought, the fig jam from a jar, the chicken on the caesar salad unseasoned & microwaved. The rosé wine was very nice, however. The service isn’t polished or engaging. I would recommend this to meet a first date for a cocktail or to sit outside with friends for wine and chit-chat. This wine bar has been around for years and is in need of a transformation/revitilization.

Food is terrible !! Everything we ordered was served with different ingredients than what is described on the menu . Served me rock hard OLD chicken (which i sent back) . All the food here seems old or not stored properly. Ordered one of their seasonal espresso martinis , they give me the wrong one. I really should have sent everything back . Do not waste your money here . This wasn’t our first time here we wanted to give them another shot but this will be our last .
