Super kind host and restaurant establishment. Discovered this restaurant based on excellent reviews.
The restaurant boasts a variety of dishes that can please any stomach that enters.
They were able to provide recommendations and I had the Chicken Coconut Curry, the Spring Rolls, and the Pesto Pork Dumplings. Honestly, my favorite were the dumplings as the pesto sauce tasted so fresh!
The host provided me with an off-menu matcha cheesecake sample that they are trying to implement. It was a Basque Cheesecake of Matcha flavor. They are experimenting with flavors, so feel free to make recommendations. The cheesecake was very smooth and provided just the right amount of tang.

We had one of the best Chinese foods here. We ordered crispy shrimp, beef flat noodle, orange chicken, beef salad, pepper beef steak, baby bok choy. Every dish turned out amazing! I wish I had taken more photos. My boys made a huge mess and spilled water everywhere, however the owner really took care of us and provided top notch service. The environment was pleasant and we will come back again for sure!

We stopped in for lunch and got the peppercorn chicken and steak & potatoes. These hit the spot if you’re looking for quick and tasty Chinese food with a twist. Both tasted fresh and flavorful, and the service was great. Definitely worth trying this new spot on Monroe!

Went for dinner tonight and had a wonderful meal! We got the fried oyster mushrooms to start, they were perfectly crisp on the outside. Our entrees were the Scallop Fried Rice and the Fish and Tofu with Black Bean sauce, the fish was so tender and really picked up the flavors from the black bean sauce, and the fried rice had a generous amount of shrimp and scallops in it. Last, we finished with the special dessert, osmanthus cheesecake – it was creamy, rich, and the flavor was nice and delicate. Throughout our visit, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and warm. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a fantastic meal at Miba Rice Bar! We started with the fried tomatoes with chili sauce, which were a flavorful and unique appetizer. For mains, we tried the pepper steak and mango shrimp. Both were excellent. The shrimp with lotus root was a standout; normally I’m not a fan of lotus root, but here it was delicious. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and creatively presented. Definitely a spot I’d return to!

We came here for dinner on a Sunday night and were truly impressed. The braised pork belly was so tender — melt-in-your-mouth good. A must-try! The beef salad was flavourful and very appetising. We also had the beef with potatoes and tofu, which was hearty and delicious. Miba is exactly the kind of place I look for quality Chinese food. The owner, Tony, is warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

I’ve never written a review for any place I’ve visited, stayed or dined at, but after eating lunch here, hands down, it is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. This is NOT a typical Chinese restaurant. The attention to detail in their dishes is outstanding. I can’t recommend Miba Rice Bar enough for lunch or dinner! Eggplant and Pork Belly Dishes.

Today was their grand opening. We told chef/owner Tony Du we wanted to try a sampling of different items from the menu. To start he brought cheese wontons, chicken salad, tofu cypress, and crispy king oyster mushroom. All the starters had a very unique tasty flavors of their own. I haven’t had anything like these in any Asian restaurant before. Then on came the entires. There was pineapple chicken, pork belly,
steak/potatoes and fried rice. All the dishes were also delicious and amazing. Tony is definitely a great chef using his ideas and talent to create these wonderful dishes. Good luck with your opening. We’ll see what the critics have to say about this new twist on Asian Food.

We’ve been to Miba twice since they opened. Service was quick and the food was delicious and well portioned. The braised pork belly is the star of their lunch menu!
