We decided to try this restaurant late one night while we were in town. We love Indian food and honestly this place disappointed. Very bland flavours, one of the dishes was not full. The paneer was very hard and tasted stale. The chicken was tough and overall oily.
Service wasn’t super friendly upon pickup either, there are so many other great options in ottawa- give this one a pass, you won’t miss it.

A family run business that not only offers kind and friendly service but delicious food. We had the butter chicken, the palok panner(SO good), the vegetable korma (YUM) some Naan and rice. The flavours are perfect and the portions are generous. Thank you for a wonderful meal, we will be back.

As several reviewers mentioned the service isn’t great. The waitresses are polite but don’t interact with the customers to provide recommendations, or to make sure everything is ok.
Samosa — ok (only veg available)
Butter Chicken — was too sweet
Beef Bhona — very good (my favourite dish)
Naan — very good (fresh)
I only liked the beef bhona and the naan. The main dishes were reasonably priced but it became expensive because the Naan ($3.55) and rice ($3.95) have to be ordered separately.
Based on tonight’s experience I won’t be able to recommend it, and it’ll probably be a while before trying it again.

I have been to Mia’s often for lunch and dinner, although it is great Indian food with big flavor, you will almost always have to wait a loooong time for service. Once even It took them an hour to bring the naan bread out with my meal. They of course apologize for the wait, but what I would have done was at least give a complementary naan to show appreciation for the customer waiting.

I came on a Wednesday and it was incredible. The Chicken Tikka, Chicken Masala and Garlic Naan were hands down the best indian dishes I have ever had. I had a bad experience with an online delivery before but was absolutely delighted when I came in person. Highly recommend!

The garlic naan bread is to die for. The Rogan Josh was incredible as well, the meat was very tender with lots of flavour. The rice pudding as well was exceptional as well to top it all off. The service was good and the staff was friendly, wait times were moderate.
Would highly recommend if you’re looking for some great food at a quiet, personal local Indian spot.

The worst food ever, chicken tikka was microwaved, i was informed it is microwaved after going into the tandoor, the chicken was raw in the middle.
For the cauliflower fritters, the batter was too old and the cauliflower was uncooked.
The place smelled awful and so was the ambience.
Would not recommend and ever go back again.

This is by far the best Indian cuisine in Gatineau/Ottawa region. The price are fair, the quality of the food is really good. Don’t expect a nice fancy place but a true authentic experience.

Our favorite is the samosa, garlic naan and butter chicken.
The chai tea is also a great way to finish off an amazing meal
