We had an amazing experience at Mias from start to finish! The beef tostada was incredible—packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The shrimp tacos were unreal and easily some of the best we’ve ever had. And the oysters? Hands down the best we’ve ever tasted—fresh, with a lime mignonette- absolutely delicious.

On top of the outstanding food, the service was friendly, quick, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. This place is a total gem, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere, and a hip, polished vibe. The dishes looked stunning, but the flavors were not dialed in.

The lamb and swordfish were noticeably under-seasoned, and the octopus was overcooked. The rotisserie chicken was solid, though the pistachio dukkah did not add much depth, and like several dishes, it could have used more acidity. The Caesar leaned heavily savory without enough brightness, which felt like a theme throughout the meal.

The hamachi crudo was the biggest miss. There were bones left in the fish, and it sat in a watery, fruity sauce that did not complement the avocado and pineapple slaw. The dish felt disjointed rather than cohesive.

Overall, a very cool place visually, but I would not return because the flavors lacked balance and intention.

Wonderful food, drink, atmosphere, and service. We came in as a party of 7, with 2 kids. The staff were patient and helpful. I split the pork belly tacos, empanadas, volcano tostadas and mole potatoes. Everything was delicious. I had two margaritas, the aguachiles and a spicy Mia’s. Both were delicious. We even were so lucky to meet little Mia herself, who’s very sweet and cute. Can’t wait to go back!!

Fantastic new addition to Solana Beach! The side patio with canopy feels indoor/outdoor, with colorful murals, and plush, cozy booths. It had a lively vibe, but sound level was perfect to be able to talk at your table. Our waiter Bruce was fantastic and the whole staff had it together only a few days after opening. Extensive margarita menu and the food was incredibly flavorful and unique. Standouts were the pappas & mole, roasted carrots, mezze platter and volcano tostada. We didn’t even get an entree because there were so many share plates we wanted to try. Definitely will be a go-to in the neighborhood!

I am so impressed by this place. It’s literally the best place in Solana Beach. The shareables are outstanding. Please try the Hamachi Crudo! Service is absolutely over the top. If you can make it for happy hour, its fantastic. Our waitress Chloe couldn’t have been any better. If you’re lucky you’ll get her too. Well definitely be back. 10/10

Tucked into sleepy Solana Beach, this new spot is exactly what the neighborhood needed. The fish dishes are outstanding — fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. But the real stars are the oysters: hands down the best between Encinitas, Leucadia, and Solana Beach. If you’re an oyster lover, this is the place to come.

The wine selection is thoughtful and pairs beautifully with the seafood, and the service is warm, attentive, and genuine. It’s rare to find a place that feels this easygoing yet delivers such high quality. Solana Beach just got a new favorite.

This was my first dinner at Mia’s. I had been for lunch and enjoyed their fish tacos very much. But now it was to try a variety of their more serious dishes.

All of our food was spectacular and imaginative. Two of us had the chile rellano and both loved the dish. One said they needed to rush back to order it again. I had the chicken and it was outstanding. Very crispy skin with a spicy flavor, all on a bed of corn and chickpea puree. The half-chicken size of Mary’s chicken was huge and I took about 1/3 of it home.

The fourth person ordered the Australian prawns and liked it very much. All the portions were generous and the cost was very reasonable. The four entrees plus 2 desserts, two cocktails and 2 deserts came to about $200 or $50 pp. Service was superb and friendly. Chloe, our server, was great – very helpful in describing the menu and checking for allergies, and just someone that seemed to love her job and the restaurant.

As a Solana Beach resident, we are lucky to have this gem. Can’t wait to go back.

Mia’s is a wonderful addition to Solana Beach! I’ve now eaten there a half dozen times: Great food with excellent service. The food is packed with flavor without being hot. Hot is great, but can get boring. There is nothing boring about the flavors at Mia’s. The combinations are new and exciting. Here are a few of my favorites: the Papas & Mole Negro is unlike anything I’ve ever had—thinly sliced potatoes, cooked and then formed into cubes which are then flash fried for a crispy exterior. These crispy cubes are served over a chocolaty mole sauce. The Crispy Fish Tacos are perfectly cooked chunks of cod served in street-taco size corn tortillas with a crunchy tangy pico de gallo. The Seasonal Oysters are fresh, firm, and burst in your mouth. And the mescal-based mignonette they are served with adds a surprising intensity. As a final note, Mia’s is super dog friendly. In fact, it’s named after the owner’s dog.

10/10. I came for dinner last night and came back again tonight because it was so good. Oysters were the best oysters I’ve had on the west coast in my life. Every item on the menu was bomb. Service was great. Very friendly and professional staff. This is the best restaurant in north county San Diego – in my opinion.
