First time here since the change in ownership. We were very happy. The food was excellent. The staff was very friendly. We got the Thursday special. Their amazing lasagna, salad and killer garlic bread. For only $20. Along with a pitcher of sangria. All in all a great experience. We look forward to coming back.

We stopped in for a late-night bite and will definitely be back. I had the red sangria and a satisfying cheese pasta with red meat sauce. The garlic bread portion was generous. My husband had a lobster ravioli with a very memorable creamy tomato sauce spiked with champagne. The owner was very friendly and funny, and the waitress was very approachable. We liked the movie posters hanging on the walls, as they are Italian translations of epic films such as Star Wars, Rosemary’s Baby, and Harold and Maude.

We used to go here in the 70’s when it was Mama Mia’s….and were wondering how it held up. I wanted pizza and Chanti in a basket wrapped bottle. We got the pizza and it was really good, but the Chianti was in a plain screw top bottle…though we spotted a basket-wrapped one in display so got the nostalgic vibe. Servings of lasagna and other dishes are large and super tasty. Service was a bit slow, but we had a large group and the place was packed, so there’s forgiveness! The water needed some filtering so it cleared the palate instead of tainted it… We would come again and enjoyed our experience. Helpful hint: if you get the Chianti bring pliers… we passed the closed bottle around several times before successfully getting it opened.

Longtime loyal customer and recently visited under the new ownership. Garlic bread/house salad dressing are delicious as ever! The red sauce has changed – I prefer the old but that’s personal preference. The food took a very long time and a bit overpriced for the portions but server was good. Overall an average experience, but will continue being a loyal customer.

I love coming to Mia’s, great food, great atmosphere! The Garlic Bread, and Pizza is out of this world, along with every other dish served. You can tell the owner takes pride in what they do! The cocktails are delicious and made just right!! The ambience of the place fits so well into the downtown Waukesha scene. It’s definitely a must stop place to have a glass of wine or cocktail and a wondering Italian style dish!!

I ordered Bread and salad last night picked it up, got home and it was like this.. called and the employee/manager said he was refunding the order and it would be on my card by morning. I asked if I could come in and just get a new salad and a refund for this. They said kitchen is closed at 8:30PM. Won’t be open until 4pm today. Today my card was charged the full amount of this order along with a $4 tip included. Went in to complain and they didn’t want to explain this inconvenience and disgusting salad. Both employees/management had bad attitudes and were very rude for this kind of service.

Food, staff, atmosphere, speed, all of it phenomenal. Just as good as the original mama mias in west allis. Garlic bread is to die for. I had the chicken parmesan and it was very delicious but could have used more garlic. The house Italian dressing was very unique, not like anything I’ve had but so simple. I believe it was only red wine vinegar and olive oil. So delicious. Would definitely come back here again.

Haven’t been here for a number of years. I always enjoyed sitting in the booth in the bar area and that’s where we were seated. We ordered our drinks and garlic bread right and as usual the garlic bread was fantastic. Due to circumstances beyond pretty much no one’s control we waited a very long time for our pizza. Luckily I was with a friend that I have not seen in over a decade and we had a lot of things to look back on. We finally got our pizza, but because of the very long delay, they comped our entire meal. The pizza was great and our waitress was very attentive. We will be back. Things happen!!!

I am not sure who told them to serve that dry, tasteless garlic cheese bread without any sauce. I nearly choked to death. On the other hand, the pizza was excellent. The pasta dish was well done but overpriced, small serving.
