This restaurant deserves a 100/100. The food is made fresh to order; the noodles are made right then and there, and the dumplings are made instantly by the ladies. I love Asian food and the people. Excellent restaurant.

The good reviews brought me to this spot, but the delicious noodles and great service will get me to come back. As weird as it may sound, sometimes you just get a craving for homemade noodles in delicious broth when it’s 90+ degrees outside. Mian is a great spot to quench that unusual craving, tucked away in a packed shopping center in the heart of Stone Oak.
The interior dining area is small at Mian and it’s usually busy, a good sign. The young wait staff were very friendly and were quick to answer any questions and provide helpful information. You can see the noodles and food being prepped and cooked from the dining area, kinda cool.
We ordered an appetizer of Pan-Fried Pork and Scallion Dumplings. They were piping hot and fresh and were very tasty. For the main entree we ordered the Braised Pork Ribs Noodle Soup and the Steam Fried Pork Noodle Soup. You get a hefty portion of soup and it is packed full of goodies, chives, green onion, bok choy, meat, and broth. You get your choice of noodle, thin, thick, or wide. You can tell the broths have been made with love, as they are loaded with savory flavors. These soups are deceptively filling and you get your moneys worth. I would definitely go back to Mian. The handmade noodles and broth and delicious dumplings, combined with the friendly and welcoming staff create the perfect environment to enjoy some delicious food!

We ordered the pig ears, multi-spiced beef, broiled pork dumplings, and beef noodle soup and everything was fantastic! The dumplings were incredibly juicy with perfectly textured wrappers: chewy, and not too thick. The pig ears were seasoned just right. It was spicy, fresh, and loaded with cilantro with an amazing texture. What a pleasant surprise to discover this place on Thanksgiving while visiting from Austin. Highly recommended!

Food is yummy. Probably just need more servers. We bought the frozen dumplings home. No preservatives. The wrappers we bought from store always have nasty preservatives. Their wrappers and noodles are freshly made. However the scallion pancakes are way too salty. But the noodles and dumplings are really good.

Delicious food! We were a large party, there after 5 on a Saturday. They need mire than 2 waitresses. Both did a phenomenal job considering how busy it was, but no one at our table got a drink refill. I plan to visit again when it’s not during dinner rush.

Tried this restaurant for first time tonight. Place was busy when we arrived; service was very fast and efficient. The food was delicious. I enjoyed all the different flavors. The crispy dumplings were so fresh. I had the lamb noodles N2 which was very good with a slight kick to it. Hit the spot! N1 beef noodles were delicious as well, the flavors very mellow & not spicy. My kids enjoyed that one. We all went home stuffed with some leftovers for a late snack. They make the noodles & dumplings in house. It was neat seeing them make it. Highly recommended!!

I have driven 30 minutes four times in the last eight weeks to come eat here. I selfishly want to keep it as a hole-in-the wall secret, but not praising this place would be a huge disservice. The house-made noodles are super bouncy and firm, soup broths are all spectacularly flavorful, the pork burger is a mouthwatering juxtaposition of juicy pork with bites of crispy spicy jalapeno. If that wasn’t enough, the dumplings are explosively juice packed with meat and the thinnest wrapper possible. By far, the best noodles and dumplings in San Antonio. Honestly, I would put this up against any I’ve had in my life even worldwide.

Wonderful hole in the wall noodle restaurant, offering dumplings and cold dishes as well. The food is fresh and it’s quick and very delicious. The kitchen staff was funny and waved at us several times while we waited for our food. We absolutely loved the staff here, our waitress was very good and friendly. The dumplings here are the best in San Antonio that I have found. Boiled or fried, I think they even sell them frozen to go. Our lunch was $45 for two amazing noodle soups, one order of boiled lamb dumplings with two iced teas. Very reasonably priced for such great and excellent food. We will definitely recommend to family and friends!
