Upon dining at Mian in Rivers Casino on November 8, 2024, my guest and I were immediately struck by the unkempt state of the dining area. Tables were dirty, and we had to clean our own seating area with hand sanitizer. This lack of cleanliness was disheartening, considering the establishment was empty at the time.
Our meal only added to the disappointment. The rice was excessively sticky, the chicken had an unpleasant, cardboard-like texture, and the only redeeming component was the broccoli. The vegetable egg roll was marginally better but still lacked quality. This experience fell short of expectations, leaving us dissatisfied and regretting our choice. Based on our visit, I would not recommend this restaurant to others. For anyone considering a meal here, I strongly suggest exploring alternative options.

My spouse wanted asian food and this was the only Asian in the casino with a 2.4 rating !! We decided to go anyway, normally we would never do that. We had chicken with broccoli, which was very nice. The vegetables with fried rice was also very nice. The service was mixed, one person very nice, the other not so. Anyway, glad that we decided to go.

Is Mian the best Chinese food you’ll ever have? Certainly not. Is it the worst? Not by a long shot. However, people are leaving reviews like they were expecting a Zaggot-quality meal from what is basically a $15 “fast food” eatery serving chicken & broccoli until 2 am AND complaining about the prices to boot. Have you not been to McDonald’s or Wendy’s lately?
But back to my & . I mean, what can I say? It’s C&B from a fast food casino eatery. It it what it is and is fine. The best thing about it was actually the sticky rice, which was really good. Staff was also very friendly. Will I eat there again? Sure, unless, of course, I get slaughtered on the tables beforehand and then $5 Nathan’s hot dog food cart here I come.
Cheers!

It’s okay, casino food. Thai spicy beef had 0 hot flavor. A regular Tabasco sauce had more spicy hot to it. Flavor was weird, kinda sweet. Not worth $21.

On March 21, 2025, I ordered General TSO’s Chicken (no taste at all), Chicken Fried Rice (the darkest, most over-cooked fried rice, that actually tasted burnt!), and a pork egg roll (the only edible item). I Do NOT recommend Mian. Horrible!

Warning: do not get the General Tsos chicken. It was extremely salty. In all my life I’ve never had General Tsos this bad. It was basically salty chicken nuggets with sauce poured over them. Do not recommend.
The place was clean. Service was mediocre.

Unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews until it was too late. My general tso entree was nothing but overcooked frozen boneless wings in a flavorless sauce. I could’ve made a better version and I’m awful at cooking. The Rivers casino should be ashamed to have this within their establishment.

I just deleted my previous review of Mian from last year. My experience last week was awful.. there must have been a change of management.. the general tsos chicken was made with some type of hard and dry nuggets covered in sauce.. went to return it and got an attitude from the expeditor who I’m assuming is the manager. The chicken and broccoli is made with chunks of chicken that taste and look like canned Tyson chicken breast.. the food we ordered was done in Iess than 5 minutes but they claim it’s made fresh.. amazing shrimp was good until the last time I ordered it.. the sauce was a little different. I highly don’t recommend until they get back to their previous standards.
